    To get started as a Financial Professional, Equitable Advisors will sponsor your pursuit of the FINRA licensing requirements as well as help you navigate state licensing needs.

    About the Responsibilities

    As a Planning Analyst II (https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/capaz/classspecs/911001?keywords=planning%20analyst%20II&pagetype=classSpecifications) , you are responsible for providing professional analytical and technical support to the CAGRD including researching, analyzing, developing, and implementing strategies, processes and policies in support of the CAGRD’s statutory and contractual requirements. Provide support and consult with other CAP departments, CAP management, Board of Directors and stakeholders.

    Some of the duties include:

    + Data Acquisition. Determines information needs. Conducts research efforts. Coordinates, acquires and maintains data from multiple sources into data management systems. Oversees maintenance of those systems. Translates data into useable formats for analysis and for use by staff and management.

    + Analysis. Analyzes and interprets data, contracts, regulations, and statutes to solve CAP water resource problems requiring multiple disciplines. Analyzes water use patterns and develops profiles. Uses existing or devises new, innovative models and methodologies. Prepares and presents oral and written reports regarding issues of immediate or special concern.

    + Policy/Program Development. Evaluates CAP resource scenarios, develops alternatives, and recommends effective strategies, policies and programs to achieve CAP strategic goals.

    About the Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in economics, physical sciences, natural resources, engineering, business, public policy, law, urban planning, geography, computer systems, or related field from an accredited college or university.

    + Five (5) years of recent experience performing functions related to the essential duties of this position; OR three (3) years of related experience with an advanced degree.

    + Strong analytical and communication skills (oral and written).

    + Ability to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment.

    + Proficient in the use of spreadsheets and databases.

    + Demonstrated excellent analytical ability in applying specialized and conceptual knowledge in the areas of responsibility.

    + Solid working knowledge in MS Office Suite.

    + Experience reading, extrapolating, and understanding GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data.

    + Ability to analyze resource issues and present findings and recommendations in a logical and understandable manner.

    + Ability to develop policy statements and supporting justification.

    + Ability to respond and work effectively in a high-pressure environment requiring flexibility to meet changing demands.

    + Demonstrated goal setting and conflict resolution skills.

    Required Certifications or Licenses: Valid driver's license and good driving record .

    Preferences given to those with a background in Arizona water resources management and knowledge of water users.
