This technical leader will be instrumental in shaping the technical direction of the company, driving process improvements, and solidifying enterprise architecture as technology evolves. The Software Engineering Manager 2 will have a pivotal influence on company-wide technology decisions and initiatives, without direct people leadership responsibilities. The role is focused on leading technical strategy and contributing to the broader technological advancements of Ford Pro, ensuring a substantial impact on both platform development and the advancement of technology across the organization.

    **What you'll do...**

    + Provide engineering leadership to multiple product lines within Ford Pro.

    + Help business partners understand our iterative development approach and focus on delivering a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and releases.

    + Design and deliver industry-leading products and services to maximize value and productivity for commercial customers.

    + Ensures software engineering excellence (e.g. best practices and quality) is achieved within the product group.

    + Collaborates with other Software Engineering Managers to reduce complexity across the portfolio, enhance interoperability between services, and make key design decisions across the portfolio.

    + Have approximately 10 direct reports including Software Engineering Managers and Software Engineers

    + Provide thought leadership for the development, structure, technology, and tools used within Ford Pro.

    + Innovate and operate with an iterative, agile and user-centric perspective.

    + Clearly communicate technology strategy and vision to team members and internal and external stakeholders.
