Job Brief:

Under limited supervision, the Design Consultant (DC) functions as the single-point interface with developer/customer to take requests for large complex capital designs, manage the contract development, formulate design alternatives and solutions, provide costs and manage developer/customer expectations for the delivery of electrical distribution design products.

Job Responsibilities:

· Acts as a single point of contact for developer/customer and manages the relationship with the developer/customer to ensure the successful execution of design and construction projects related to electrical service from utility to customer point of feed.

• Must have a sound understanding of utility and distribution level voltages.

• Sets appropriate expectations for the developer/customer regarding level of service, job process, responsibilities, deliverables, schedule, costs and safety.

• Resolve job-related hazards and encroachment situations.

• Ensures the scope of each job is appropriately designated in order to proceed with the design work.

• Consult with developer/customer regarding the placement of trench routes and facilities, design and construction standards, survey and easement requirements, and assist developer/customer to resolve facility conflicts prior to design.

• Ensure system requirements are incorporated into the designs.

• Provide accurate red-line drawings for Design Techs to produce construction ready prints.

• Facilitates the process to secure design acceptance signatures from developer/customer.

• Determines the design and construction fees to be assessed in compliance with corporate costing policies and procedures.

• Creates the appropriate design and construction contracts for each job.

• Estimates the design labor effort requirements for Design Techs for each job.

• Assigns job design due dates and set job priorities for the scheduler.

• Conducts pre and post design meetings with Design Techs for each job.

• Attends pre-construction meetings to oversee the communication to the developer/customer.

• Substitutes for and performs the duties of project leader during his/her absence.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Be fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.

Education

Completion of an Associate's degree, Apprenticeship, or 60 college credit hours from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

Experience:

Entry requires a minimum of two years' experience and the Senior Level requires 5 years' of experience. Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of three years experience at Level 1 or other equivalent experience from external related industries or equivalent experience.

***AutoCAD experience preferred.

Certifications or Testing Required:

Must possess the appropriate valid Arizona driver’s license.

**Pay Details:** $40.00 to $55.00 per hour

Do you have an eye for detail and the ability to create comfortable cabins, from luxurious first class to economy seating. You will prepare all necessary documents to support the interior and structural modification of aircraft such as detail, assembly and installation drawings, specification documents and substantiation reports. **Responsibilities:**

+ Oversee and manage the design and development of Moss Adams University learning solutions, including analysis of training needs, assessment of scope, alignment to strategic goals, consultation on design and compliance requirements, content maintenance, evaluation of impact and effectiveness, and communication to stakeholders

We are looking for a **Sr.** **Telecommunications Design Engineer** who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. This position will provide project leadership opportunities as a Sr. Telecommunications Designer to work in conjunction with supporting design staff while producing complex design packages. This is done in coordination with architects and other discipline engineers / design leads all under one Jacobs “roof”. You will interface directly with our client counterparts to design these facilities to meet their needs. Our teams leverage Revit MEP and AutoCAD and design software to create fully coordinated 3D models across all disciplines. Through a mixture of full 3D BIM delivery, construction specifications and 2D sheets, you’ll lead the design of everything from inter / intra-building backbone distribution systems, communication room layouts, rack elevations, wired & wireless device plans and cable schedules. All facets of the designs and calculations will be completed in accordance with the NEC, applicable TIA and other industry standards as well as client and/or Jacobs’ specifications, as applicable. **Here’s what you’ll need** :

· High school graduate or equivalent

· At least 8 years of BIM design experience

· At least 4 years of relevant experience in telecommunications design and construction industry

· Understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions

· Understanding of design and construction specifications and their function

· Understanding of wiring/cabling connections in relation to a circuit or a link between devices and equipment

· Experience following client design and modeling standards

· Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software

· Effective written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to estimate hours required for design and modeling efforts based on provided markups and/or verbal direction requests

· Willingness to learn

**Ideally, you’ll also have: **

· At least 6 years of Revit and/or AutoCAD design experience

Work you'll do

As a Solution Analyst in the Human Capital Organization Transformation practice, you will act as an advisor to clients and assist them with the communications and training material design, development, and delivery necessary to successfully implement and adopt new technologies or business process changes. Qualifications
