The Clinical Strategy & Analytics team identifies opportunities and build solutions to improve clinical outcomes and lower costs for millions of Medicare Advantage beneficiaries through an evidence-based approach using data analytics, clinical expertise, strategic mindset, and rigorous study designs. The Research Scientist 2 applies mathematical, statistical, and epidemiologic principles to identify trends, assess variable associations or cause-effect relationships, and size potential opportunities using high volumes of complex data. The Research Scientist 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation of data/information and independent judgement.

As a Research Scientist, you will:

+ Develop models and/or rules using clinical condition in claims data, membership data, or other data sources in order to target at-risk members who will benefit most from clinical interventions.

+ Design outcomes studies and perform program evaluation using randomized controlled trials, propensity matching, difference-in-difference models, or other experimental/quasi-experimental methods.

+ Discover key drivers of intervention enrollment and engagement and evaluate ways to improve.

+ Conduct literature reviews and intervention research to assess engagement rates and treatment effect sizes of interventions that are in the early stages of design and implementation.

+ Collaborate effectively with data teams, analytic teams, finance teams, product owners, clinicians, informaticists, leaders, and other business partners to align on objectives, approaches, and work plans.

+ Write code in SQL, SAS, and Python to assemble data, create analytic variables/features, design visuals and charts, and statistical models for research/science use-cases.

+ Present your analytical plans, study protocols, intervention theories of change, and analytical work to business partners in slide decks in a way that is easy to understand.

+ Create and maintain content for insights memos, lessons learned, training, and team assets.

+ Manage and prioritize work to delivery quality analysis in a timely manner and communicate clear expectations with business partners.

The Product Development Scientist will work with the product development team on strategic initiatives to expand the Gummi World supplement product line. This role is responsible for developing products that are delicious, and consistently manufactured while ensuring all safety and quality requirements are met. The Product Development Scientist will have KPI’s in the all stages of the process for specified projects spanning, innovation, flavor, collaborating with clients and manufacturers, cost optimization, and commercialization.

Responsibilities:

+ Develop concepts for the Innovation process

+ Collaborate with the Regulatory Team on formulations and claim substantiation.

+ Maintain branded ingredient and raw material database

+ Research potential ingredients based on physical properties such as solubility for particular form factors.

+ Follow up with R&D and Business Development teams on samples, prototypes, and test batches.

+ Help with the development of different pack-out options for existing products.

+ Lead product tastings, evaluations, etc., and analyze/record results in a statistical/analytical manner.

+ Scope secondary contract manufacturers to match existing formulations

+ Support Quality in new product specifications, change controls and label initiation forms.

Requirements

+ Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from a 4-year accredited college or university in Food Science, Biology, Engineering, Chemistry or Equivalent BS degree, with 5+ years of experience in R&D, Product Development, Manufacturing and/or Quality Assurance in food and/or supplement industry is preferred.

+ Advanced knowledge in more than one of the aforementioned formats (Confectionary, Capsules, etc.) is a must as well as having a proven track record developing clean (i.e. short ingredient list) and delicious food that meet specific requirements at large scale.

+ Must have strong interpersonal and presentation skills, ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, and have the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously in a high-paced environment while staying in control under pressure.

+ Must have excellent analytical, written, and organizational skills with the ability to manage complex technical information and have an industry-leading understanding of ingredient functionality, product evaluation, health and nutrition, food manufacturing processes, microbiology, quality assurance principles, and market research practices.

+ Preferred candidates must have demonstrated technical sales experience with a wide range of clients.

**Responsibilities**

The Spine Biomechanics team at Barrow Neurological Institute is looking to hire a highly motivated organized and technically strong Research Engineer who is passionate about research. We are a team oriented group that collaborates directly with neurosurgeons scientists and engineers to focus on clinically relevant biomechanical studies and improvement of patient care. We are looking for a successful candidate who is flexible to perform various duties as needed but primarily focused on: management of cadaveric tissue testing operation of laboratory equipment including a testing robot and digital imaging correlation system design and implementation of study protocols and novel fixtures/test setups accurate data collection analysis and write up of results including journal article preparation.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Become a leader in computational modeling efforts towards simulations of spinal movements during daily activities and in high performance sports.

• Independently develop new lab initiatives and research efforts and obtain extramural funding in support of those initiatives

• Drafting of proposals for funding final reports abstracts publications and manuscripts as needed and/or requested.

• Support day to day activities and test schedules in coordination with lab team members and external collaborators.

This research will enable internal technology transfers and publication of findings in both internal and external venues.
