Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Technician to join our team. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for working on industrial equipment in the field, specifically ultrapure water (UPW) systems. This is a hands-on role that requires physical strength, the ability to lift heavy objects, and the willingness to wear protective personal equipment. - Pay Rate: $21-22/hr depending on experience

- Shift: Night shift (12-hour shift) 5:45 pm to 6:15 am Wednesday - Friday e/o Saturday (training on day shift for approximately 3 months)

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Field Technician, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Role modeling safety practices and adhering to safety protocols

- Starting up UPW equipment under the guidance of the system engineer

- Collecting UPW samples and conducting routine analysis using test equipment

- Operating UPW equipment and systems through computer interfaces

- Performing maintenance activities on UPW equipment and test equipment

- Loading/unloading UPW resin, RO membranes, filters, and other materials

- Safely handling and transferring liquid chemicals from tank trucks to bulk storage tanks

- Utilizing forklifts, mobile elevated platforms, and pallet jacks to move equipment and materials

- Developing pre-task plans and ensuring their implementation

- Collaborating as a team member with exceptional customer service skills

Qualifications & Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

- Minimum 2-3 years of specific UPW operations experience

- Good verbal and written communication skills

- Proficiency in MS Word/Excel and general computer use

- Hazardous material/chemical handling training, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

- Control of Hazardous Energies (CoHE) training

- CPR/first aid training

- Fall protection and ladder safety training

- Scissor lift/Mobile Elevated Work Platform training

- Forklift and pallet jack training

- High school diploma or GED required; AS degree preferred (military experience can be considered as a substitute or additional experience)

Inspect, maintain, repair or construct streets, alleyways, easements, rights-of-way, sidewalks, waterways, ditches, culverts and other stormwater facilities throughout the system.

Complete set up and pick up of traffic control devices to assist in traffic control around work crews; prepare streets and facilities for town events. Perform traffic control for road closures, accident detours and crime scene securing.

Perform routine to semi-skilled maintenance and repairs on public rights-of-way and residential driveways for protection of streets, including culvert and ditch maintenance, pothole patching; street sweeping maintenance; crack sealing of roadways.

Assist in maintaining traffic signals according to signal program. Perform general maintenance and repair, upgrades, bulb replacement; lighted street name signs maintenance and repair/replacement.

Perform mowing of all rights-of-way (ROW) public streets and Town-owned lots; trims around traffic structures and signs; removes and trims trees and bushes in Town; removes dead animals from all ROWs.

As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for the in-the-field sampling and testing of concrete, soils, and other construction materials. Technicians will be required to complete and submit written reports daily. A company vehicle will be provided specifically for travel to and from scheduled job sites. Technicians will require sufficient ability to find project locations by address and/or direction.

**Job Responsibilities:**

+ Perform observations and testing.

+ Write detailed reports summarizing test results and observations.

+ Inform field representatives of observation and test results.

+ Communicate with managers, show commitment as a team player, and organize work and manage time effectively.

**Required Qualifications:**

+ At least five years of construction materials testing experience

+ ACI Field Grade I and ATTI Field certifications

+ Additional certifications, such as ACI Concrete Strength Testing, ATTI Soils/Ag, ATTI Asphalt, ICC Special Inspection, EIFS, Post-Tension), or demonstrated competence to qualify the individual at this level

+ Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record

+ Must be at least 18 years old for entry onto job sites, must be able to lift up to 75lbs repeatedly

+ Ability to read and write, ability to use a computer

+ Prior experience as a field/engineering technician

+ Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment

+ Use technology (laptops and tablets) comfortably

+ Ensures heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems are operational; performs system tune-up; checks breakers; replaces capacitors; identifies system leaks; replaces fan motors and Freon; utilizes an HVAC testing package to test efficiency of the system.

+ Maintains all equipment in a clean, orderly, and functional condition; ensures all work complies with applicable laws, regulations, safety practices and standards.

+ Updates and completes mobile work orders received from the maintenance center; completes all work orders within the given timeframe to ensure tenant satisfaction.

Requirements:

+ High School diploma/GED strongly preferred.

+ Valid driver's license required.

+ Universal EPA Certification or HVAC Type II Certification required in applicable states.

+ 5 years of relative Residential/Property Maintenance or related experience required.

+ Perform complex transformer field service operations that require above average technical skills.

+ Troubleshoot and repair transformer equipment, applying own knowledge and experience to resolve problems. Recommend changes or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

+ Communicate clearly and professionally, (written and/or verbal), regarding project scope, safety reviews (i.e. tailgate meetings), security or environmental incidents, safety violations or near misses.

+ Perform tasks associated with regasketing of transformers, assist in cutting new gaskets/o-rings as needed as well as perform receipt inspections unassisted by others

+ Perform repairs and maintenance on oil processing equipment daily/ weekly /monthly or annual basis, per maintenance schedule, or as assigned.

+ Maintain safe operating condition of vehicles, tools and equipment, including conducting detailed inventories and inspections to determine maintenance and repairs. **What You Bring.**

+ High School diploma, GED or technical vocational or apprenticeship training, combined with prior field service or equivalent related experience

+ Minimum of 4 years of experience in technical assembly, maintenance and repair of power and distribution transformers / transformer accessories in utility/energy electrical industry

+ Very good level skill in one or more of: Distribution, Power and Transmission electrical substation equipment in power ranges of Low Voltage (4160V – 13kV), Medium Voltage (13kV – 69kV) or High Voltage (69kV – 800 kV)

+ Requires good communications skills and ability to follow verbal/written instruction.

+ Good time management skills

+ CDL is Preferred

**What will you be doing?**

As a Field Technician, you will be representing DISH in customers' homes daily. We build our value by simplifying lives and using the DISH install to consult homeowners on their infinite smart home possibilities.

**Skills, Experience and Requirements**

_All technicians must have:_

+ Aptitude to build rapport quickly. We want you to have a great time servicing our clients

+ Ability to work at heights, including ladders up to 40 feet, and in all weather conditions

+ A valid driver's license in the state you are seeking employment with a driving record that meets DISH's safety standard
