    RN Med Surg FT Days Position Summary
    Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Position renders individualized, age specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs. Acts as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care. Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals. Participates in hourly rounding. Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices. May at times be asked to be in charge for a shift(s). Supervises other members of Healthcare team.

    RN Telemetry Full Time Days Position Summary
    Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Position renders individualized, age specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs. Acts as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care. Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals. Participates in hourly rounding. Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices.     Qualifications :
    THE RN TELEMETRY FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school. License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona. CPR. ACLS as applicable by Facility/Department.
    ER, ICU, Endoscopy, Tele, Cardiac Cath Lab, L&D: ACLS required upon orientation completion.
    Bariatrics: Certification or specialized training in bariatrics specialty area of practice.

    Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, an Advanced Clinical Nurse provides professional skilled age specific nursing care for patients in collaboration with the physician and other disciplines.     Qualifications:

    Education:

    + Requires a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

    Experience:

    + Must have at least one (1) year of recent behavioral health RN experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities; or if completed the New Grad RN program at Valleywise Health then must have at least one year of Valleywise Health experience as a RN and be in good standing.

    Specialized Training:

    + None

    Certification/Licensure:

    + Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license; temporary AZ RN license; or valid compact RN licensure for current state of practice. Must also be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.

    + Requires BLS issued by the American Heart Association and must renew it every two years.

    + CPI certification training will be provided upon hire/transfer to department, must be renewed every two years, and must be obtained prior to providing patient care.

    + Desert Vista – Unit 2 Adolescent- Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit completed application to the Arizona Department of Public Safety within seven days of hire date.     Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
