Telecommunications Line Installers and Repairers

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

+ Complete physical installations and removal of structured cabling components, cabinets, pathway systems (cable tray), move equipment, racks, and related communications infrastructure materials.

+ Perform installation and service of low voltage category cabling, fiber optic cabling, communications cabling, communication equipment and other various low voltage related systems such as Category 5, Enhanced Category 5, Category 6 and Fiber Optic Structured Cable Distribution Systems.

+ Perform upgrades and additions to cabling infrastructure systems in order to increase functionality and usability.

+ Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot cabling infrastructure systems and perform repairs as necessary.

+ Inform operations management regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing necessary information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with OSHA regulations.

+ Complete required documentation in a variety of written and electronic formats according to company standards such as time reporting for billing & payroll, work order progress & completion, time and materials for client SLAs, etc.

+ Transport a variety of items (e.g. tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at client site."

Education Requirements:

+ Associate degree or Certification in a technology services/technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.

Experience Requirements:

+ 2-5 years of experience in a Site Support Technician role (or similar experience)

+ CNET CNCI

+ BICSI Installer (INST1)

+ BICSI Installer 2 copper/fiber (INSTC/INSTF)

+ Proven ability to install, terminate & test low voltage cables to include twisted pair cable, coax, power limited tray cable, stranded & solid conductor low voltage cable and fiber optic cable.

+ Installation of cable pathways, conveyances (e.g. ladder, trays, support systems)

+ Through-wall penetration systems

+ Comprehension of terminology pertaining to installation & service of cabling infrastructure for telecom, data, security & wireless systems.

+ Working knowledge of industry standards including BICSI, ANSI, EIA/TIA, and local and National Electric Code.

+ Comprehension of publications pertaining to standard cabling for telecom, data, security & wireless systems practices, engineering & Federal, State & local safety standards.

+ Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints, architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents.

+ Ability to carry up to 30 lbs. and lift up to 50lbs.

As an Accenture Security Senior Manager in a Security Account Lead (SAL) role you will be dedicated to 3-5 client accounts across industries in our CMT Practice in the West - covering the telecommunications, media, high tech , semiconductor, and software industries. The Work

Security Senior Managers are expected to possess extensive experience in the following:

+ Translating technical requirements into business terms for executive stakeholders

+ Lead development of written and oral client proposals

+ Assist with driving the overall CMT Security pipeline growth

Here is What You Need

+ Minimum 5 years of experience / knowledge dealing with security issues and vulnerability trends in the telecommunications, media, high tech, semiconductor, or software industries

+ Minimum 5 years of experience in project management principles and project quality methods (Agile)

+ Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. If Associate's Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6 years work experience

+ Minimum 5 years of experience/knowledge of Security vendors and Security product capabilities

+ Minimum 5 years of experience/ability to lead and manage business development/proposal efforts RFP/RFI/RFQ.

+ Minimum 5 years of experience in Security and Privacy and the ideal candidate would have a mix of some of these capabilities:

-Cyber GRC

- Privacy

-Third-party risk management

-Vulnerability management

-Penetration testing

-GenAI for Security and Privacy

Bonus points if you have

+ Comms, Media or Tech experience and relationships with West coast clients

+ Industry recognized Professional Security certification preferred (CISSP, CIPP/IT, CRISC).

Position Title: BAS / Controls Installation Technician

JOB SUMMARY

The BAS / Controls Installation Technician Specialist will install the building automation systems, work with and direct other installers, work with and support programmers and inform both internal and external clients on project progress. Provides technical support and leadership to plan, schedule and execute project start up, installation and testing, commissioning and closeout of building automation systems software integration projects in industrial, commercial and mission critical / technology sectors.

The BAS / Controls Installation Technician Specialist will receive limited direction on day-to-day work and general instruction on new projects or assignments.\u202F Will assist project leadership on automation projects of complex scope.\u202F Will work independently or under limited supervision.

This person will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Installation and Installation Coordination of BAS / HVAC Controls Systems (30%)

+ Direct and monitor subcontractors (onsite and offsite) including scheduling, resource management and coordination of construction and start-up services as needed. Construction trades generally include various electrical, mechanical and equipment suppliers.

+ Install and wire BAS controllers and field devices

+ Install and terminate low voltage cables

+ Must be able to organize a job site including material logistics / inventory, tools storage and security

+ Provide technical information and safety guidance for activities on site

+ Lead installation teams on daily and weekly meetings

+ Support the development and execution of additional services through change orders

+ Cutover panels and systems in retrofit projects

+ Develop Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for site activities

+ Provide input to project team on developing RFIs

Startup, Commissioning and Closeout of BAS / HVAC Controls Systems (40%)

+ Assist software lead with pre-functional and functional testing

+ Execute troubleshooting of BAS systems including corrective actions

+ Participate in commissioning efforts with external stakeholders

+ Analyze system operation, work with project team to demonstrate system operation and verify consistency with the contracted scope of work

+ Perform QA / QC of BAS and integrated systems using BAS software tools

+ Provide installation inspections and other closeout duties to ensure customer acceptance

+ Provide markups for shop drawings to document asbuilt conditions

Reporting and Communication (20%)

+ Project communication and reporting including daily site updates, daily site safety reporting and progress reports

+ Document and track issues and out of scope efforts

+ Communicate regularly with subcontractors, project managers, clients and commissioning agents on project progress

Engineering Support and Business Development (10%)

+ Provide input to project teams on estimating and takeoffs for proposals

+ Attend project bid walks

+ Attend engineering surveys for retrofit projects

+ Attend BAS audits and complete related reports and communication

Completion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on Budget

Performs Other Related Duties as Assigned

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL FOR ALL THE FOLLOWING)

+ Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems and materials

+ Knowledge of controls wiring, relay logic, and associated materials

+ Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management

+ Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail

+ Ability to work successfully in a remote environment thru effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace

+ Ability to interpret AE construction drawings, BAS shop drawings, manufacturers wiring diagrams, standards documentation, submittals and product data sheets

+ Ability to follow company and site safety requirements

+ Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondence

+ Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information)

+ Ability to communicate effectively directly with clients and at times serve as primary point of client contact

+ Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines

+ Ability to effectively plan and delegate the work of others

+ Ability to achieve certification for NFPA70E and / or OSHA training as required
