    **Archer Western Construction, a member of The Walsh Group** is currently seeking a **Laborer - Pipelayer** for the **Paradise Valley WMR** , in **Scottsdale, AZ** .

    The Laborer - Pipelayer will perform pipe-laying tasks involving physical labor (laying, joining, wrapping, sealing) on construction jobsites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects; may operate hand and/or power tools as needed; may prepare site and assist with other duties as assigned.

    **Responsibilities**

    _Responsibilities include but are not limited to:_

    + Lays, joins, aligns, wraps, and seals pipe sections, clay, concrete, and other type of pipe for water/gas main, sanitary sewer, telephone/electrical conduits

    + Ability to work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management

    + Ability to perform tasks including physical labor as instructed by supervisor

    **Qualifications**

    + 1 Years Verifiable Experience Preferred

    + Requires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder

    + Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions

    + Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly

    + Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn

    + Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods

    + Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

    Responsibilities

    + Construct and install Ductile Iron, C900, Clay, PVC, RGRCP and HDPE for Water Distribution, Sewer and Storm Drain installations

    + Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

    Education, Skills, Experience Needed

    + High School diploma or equivalent

    + 6 months' experience working as a pipelayer for water/sewer main and storm drain installs

    + Familiar with construction staking lines and grades, able to read construction stakes
