The primary purpose of this position is to develop and maintain long- and short-range maintenance workload plans for a segment of organic, inter-service and/or contract repair work under the assigned group and to mark groups services. Responsibilities Participates in negotiating work requirements for the Organization for the fiscal, budget and out years, in addition to determining ma-hour and funding requirement to workload the Center to capacity. Assists customers and division in developing maintenance and group requirements. Prepares projected financing, conception to completion. Conducts and chairs preliminary meetings on a wide variety of aerospace vehicles and associated ground equipment. You will be responsible for fabricating Fisher OEM control valve parts using a variety of machining techniques and equipment. You will also repair parts from the field, returning them to OEM specifications. You must be familiar with manual and CNC lathe and mill operations. In this role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

+ Be responsible for personal safety and for the safety of others. Must maintain excellent housekeeping standards.

+ Set-up, indicate, and machine raw material (bar stock, forgings, and castings) to manufacture Fisher parts to OEM print dimensions.

+ Cross-train on all machines to prevent lapse in production flow including but not limited to engine lathes, manual drills, horizontal bandsaws, CNC lathes, VTLs, HBMs, and CNC mills.

+ Must understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques.

+ Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) per part drawings.

+ Potential for field assignments using in-line machine. Some travel may be required.

+ Adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulations.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Keep machines running and understand higher utilization of spindle time \(machine run time\) leads to efficiency, meeting targets/goals set by the MS Lead for daily output\.

+ Support all Factory Management Systems to include Safety, Quality, Operational administrative systems\.

+ Set up Manual and CNC equipment, ability to properly measure and prove out set up ensuring successful results\.

+ Change cutting tools and adjust machine feeds and speeds for optimal efficiency\.

+ Basic running and editing of G and M codes on the applicable machines and equipment\.

**Qualifications**

**EDUCATION:**

+ Must have a high school diploma or equivalent certification\.

+ Technical education is preferred\.

**EXPERIENCE:**

+ 2 years relevant experience in machining to include any of the following disciplines: ID/OD/Jig/Surface Grinding Hone; CNC Mill, CNC Lathe; Manual Mill, Manual Lathe\.

+ 2 years experience in machine programming to include any of or a combination of the following: G\-Code/M\-Code, Gibbs, Cad, SolidWorks, Feature Cam, Heidenhain, Fanuc, Siemens, and Haas Controls\.

· Monitors the feeds and speeds of machines during the machining process.
