    Job Summary: The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) is within the Systems Integration & Test directorate at Raytheon Missiles and Defense. The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) includes all of the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon Missile Defense (RMD) products. The Engineering Prototyping & Fabrication department is seeking Electrical Prototyping Fabrication Technicians to work in an engineering environment to co-develop engineering hardware in accordance with customer and internal requirements, as well as industry standards. Candidates will collaborate with multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects to bring design concepts to fruition, providing rapid engineering, fabrication and prototyping solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle.

    + Fabricating electrical hardware from drawings, schematics, 3D models, written notes and verbal instruction

    + Co-developing electronic, electro-optical, electro-mechanical and mechanical assemblies

    + Originating and performing methods to verify, troubleshoot and analyze new hardware

    + Performing electrical layout, construction, modification, testing, adjustment, verification and prove-in of prototype electronic equipment

    The Prototype, Fabricator and Water Jet Operator, Technical Support Specialist will work within the mechanical fabrication shop, executing a variety of mechanical fabrication efforts at an exceptional quality level, while collaborating in a dynamic, fast-paced, integrated team environment.     + Quick-turn fabrication of critical prototype, aerospace parts and test assemblies from metal and non-metal materials primarily utilizing water jet

    + Use of manual mills and lathes

    + Use of general machine shop tools such as saws, grinders and other support equipment including the use of typical dimensional measuring tools

    + Responsible for part/assembly and hardware installs to include: helicoils, keenserts, pins, bushings, nut plates, rivets fasteners and alike

    + Work with basic sketches and underdeveloped drawing packages, as well as model renderings

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    + Requires AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training such as: machining/fabrication technical education or apprenticeship)

    + Six (6) or more years of direct mechanical machining experience

    + Experience interpreting mechanical blueprints / technical drawings

    + Experience in the use of precision mechanical machine shop tools such as water jets, manual mills, manual lathes and precision measuring equipment
