**Job Summary**

Functions in a senior level engineering technician capacity. With minimal supervision, performs advanced functions requiring knowledge and use of electronic applications, standards and document control processes/procedures in support of creating and modifying deliverables. May provide technical guidance and direction to other engineering professionals including delegation of work assignments.

+ Oversee the results of studies and program reviews in order to validate existing and projected roadway and transportation layouts, traffic impacts of proposed developments, and recommended traffic safety enhancement projects on the basis of respective studies.

Who You Are

**Required Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or closely related discipline.

+ 10+ years of relevant post education experience in engineering and traffic design.

+ Professional Engineer license in Arizona required (multi-state preferred).

+ Prior experience working with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and local agencies and counties within Arizona.

+ Highly proficient with traffic engineering principles, practices, process, and design/build related to traffic control equipment, capacity and operational analysis, project management, and related communications systems.
