Position: Jr. Application Developer
Reports to: Application Development Team Lead
Position type: Full Time, In Office
SUMMARY
Assist in planning, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions for both internal operations and to fulfill client requests. Follow best practices and written procedures to ensure quality software solutions. Document all processes from design to post-deployment maintenance to ensure consistency within the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Creating software solutions per customer specifications
• Assist in the planning and design of software solutions
• Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of software solutions
• Create documentation for code design, development, and maintenance plan for each application
• Regular communication with customers keeping them updated on the project
• Handle internal software related requests
• Monitor and maintain deployed applications
o Use internal monitoring system that check all current running sites
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Bachelor of Science Degree or nearing completion of degree in:
o Computer Science
o Software Engineering
o Data Science
o Software Development
o Information Technology
• Basic understanding of following languages:
o HTML
o CSS
o JavaScript
o Python
• Preferred but not required knowledge of:
o ColdFusion
o Docker Containers
o Server/Network Infrastructure
• Basic understanding of software/web development
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
o Written and oral
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong command of Microsoft Word & Excel
