This position works Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 6:00AM to 6:00PM

Purpose and Scope

This position supports operational excellence in the machining processes to drive productivity, quality and continuous improvement. This role will be expected to collaborate with the Sargent team to exceed organizational goals.

Roles & Responsibilities

+ Model Safe behaviors at all times

+ Model and maintain a safe working environment at all times

+ Follow company quality control standards to include in process inspection

+ Knowledge of safety standards and operations for equipment being run

+ Must have ability to work well with others in a team environment

+ Monitor operations and quickly react to non-confirming parts as they occur

+ Produce and inspect parts during machining operations. Adjust Offsets as needed

+ Deburr own parts using machines such as milling, drilling, grinding and other machines as needed.

+ Deburr own parts as required during machining operations

Required Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

+ High school diploma or GED required.

+ Minimum 1 Year experience in a manufacturing environment

+ Understanding of machine shop theory, procedures, and shop mathematics.

+ Basic understanding of Blue Prints, technical drawings, & work instructions.

+ Basic understanding of measuring & inspection

+ Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this position

+ Ability to perform physical work for extended periods of time including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds

+ Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

+ Hands on Machining experience

+ Use of Hand held and surface plate Inspection Equipment

+ Knowledge and Operation of CNC Lathe and Mills including making Offsets

+ Machining related course work preferred




+ High School or better
