CNC Machine Operator (TAZ) - 1st or 1st/2nd Split Shift
TURBOCAM, Inc.     Chandler, AZ 85226
     

We’re looking for a talented, motivated Machine Operator to join our newly-launched satellite operation in Chandler, AZ. This individual will be a self-starter, eager to jump in when needed, and be dedicated in their support of TURBOCAM Arizona’s future. The Machine Operator sets up, utilizes, and operates assigned lathe, mill, and/or balance CNC machines and supports machine procedures for the prototyping and production of machined parts.

Position Specific Responsibilities
- Perform set-up and operation of assigned lathe, mill and/or balance machine/s.
- Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on the lathe, mill and/or balance machines as needed and required.
- Report all deviations in proper machine performance to direct supervisor, other shop supervisor, and/or Machine Maintenance personnel (when warranted).
- Advise and consult with direct supervisor, and/or shop supervisor as applicable, for tools and tooling needed to complete turning projects.
- Maintain fixtures and set-ups for use in specified projects as assigned when applicable.
- Support and maintain overall shop efficiency by keeping work areas clean and safe.
- Check hoppers, filters, bags and machines daily; wiping down outside, washing down inside, cleaning conveyor belts and other areas as needed.
- Cooperate and coordinate with other personnel for usage of shared shop equipment.
- Inspect and document all operations per TURBOCAM Arizona procedures as stated in the Quality Manual as well as per specifications of the product engineer, project manager, and direct supervisor.
- Report all hazards or incidents to direct supervisor.
- Assist in maintaining office and shop cleanliness
- Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Experience running CNC machines (lathe, mill and balance) helpful.
- Basic understanding of MS Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel desired.
- Knowledge of measuring equipment helpful.
- Good math skills.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully
- Desire and willingness to pursue training and advance professionally.
- Good interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
- Requires occasional lifting and carrying of 25 lbs. or more and standing for extended periods of time.
