Salary Range: $70,200.00 - $121,900.00

The Operational Risk Management (ORM) team facilitates and monitors the implementation of effective operational risk management programs throughout the organization, and oversees risk ownership throughout business units, products, and processes. The objective of the ORM Issues & Events team is to define and maintain the issues and events frameworks and programs across the enterprise.
ORM is looking for a Director CCAR Operational Risk to lead a diverse team of high-performing professionals focused on ensuring effective operational risk management is embedded in the day-to-day operations of our organization. It will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies.
How will you make an impact in this role?
**The Director CCAR Operational Risk will:**
+ Own and drive the end-to-end CCAR operational risk framework, ensuring timely, accurate, and defensible submissions.
+ Ensure that the end-to-end process meets industry best practice for the current and future American Express, with a clearly defined roadmap between the two.
+ Develop and refine scenario analysis methodologies, integrating loss data, risk control self-assessments (RCSAs), key risk indicators (KRIs), and external data sources.
+ Ensure operational risk stress testing aligns with regulatory expectations and internal risk appetite.
+ Design and enhance loss estimation models that translate risk scenarios into financial impact forecasts.
+ Integrate historical loss data, emerging risk trends, and macroeconomic factors into CCAR stress testing frameworks.
+ Work closely with risk modeling teams to validate methodologies and assumptions.
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory exams related to CCAR operational risk, engaging with Federal Reserve, OCC, and other regulators.
+ Prepare and present clear, defensible risk assessments to CROs, CFOs, Board members, and regulators.
+ Ensure governance, documentation, and risk methodologies meet heightened regulatory expectations.
+ Provide thought leadership on emerging operational risk themes, e.g. cyber risk, third-party risk, conduct risk, and fraud.
+ Strengthen the connection between business controls, risk mitigation strategies, and capital planning.
+ Partner with Enterprise Risk, Finance, and Business Unit teams to integrate operational risk into broader firmwide risk initiatives.
+ Implement a robust governance framework for operational risk loss forecasting, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and repeatability.
+ Drive process efficiency, leveraging automation and best practices to enhance risk quantification.
+ Ensure high-quality execution of CCAR deliverables under tight regulatory timelines.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Proven experience of best practice and leading CCAR operational risk processes at a GSIB or comparable financial institution.
+ Strong understanding of stress testing methodologies, risk quantification, and capital planning requirements.
+ Expertise in risk scenario analysis, loss forecasting, and data-driven risk quantification.
+ Ability to synthesize internal loss data, external trends, and macroeconomic factors into CCAR modeling.
+ Experience engaging with Federal Reserve, OCC, FDIC, and other regulatory bodies.
+ Ability to confidently defend methodologies, justify assumptions, and articulate risk outcomes to regulators and senior leadership.
+ Ability to translate complex risk analytics into clear, actionable insights for C-suite executives.
+ Strong presentation skills to engage with senior management.
+ Expertise in operational risk frameworks, loss event modeling, and control effectiveness assessments and knowledge of key operational risk categories
+ Experience designing and enforcing risk governance frameworks, ensuring strong documentation and control oversight.
+ Ability to create repeatable, defensible methodologies that meet regulatory scrutiny.
+ Ability to coordinate across risk, finance, modeling, and technology teams to drive CCAR excellence.
+ Track record of delivering under high-pressure regulatory deadlines.
+ Passion for enhancing CCAR methodologies, benchmarking against industry best practices, and driving innovation.
+ Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex risk assessment challenges.
+ Experience with Python, R, SAS, SQL, or advanced data analytics tools for risk modeling and familiarity with machine learning techniques for risk analytics are nice-to-haves

The Wealth Management Advisor position is the investment, investment planning, and insurance products lead on the Wealth Management Team.
In This Role You Will:
+ Meet with affluent clients to collect financial information, conduct the needed discovery, assess investment needs, and evaluate each client’s unique needs
+ Determine which financial products are suitable for the client’s unique circumstances
+ Facilitate the delivery of strategies and capabilities including portfolio management, trust administration, investment advisory, and insurance
+ Deliver economic and market views, investment strategy, manager/fund/security research, and due diligence
+ Portfolio construction resulting in tailored investment management and insurance services based upon a client's unique situation
+ Refer and partner with other financial services within other U.S. Bank channels, as appropriate

Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
+ Three to five years of experience in a financial sales position, preferably working with the affluent client segment
+ FINRA Series 7 and 66 or, Series 7 and 63/65 combination and applicable state insurance license
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Extensive knowledge in financial planning, including but not limited to goals-based planning, asset allocation, retirement planning, and education funding
+ Extensive knowledge of the securities industry, including investment and insurance products and services
+ Knowledge of private banking products and services, including credit processes and policies
