Main duties include the design of connectors, creation of tools, development of assembly process and manufacturing instructions as required to support transition from design concept to mature producible product. Design new products or make modifications to existing products. Interact with customers to understand their requirements and incorporate them into new product designs. Work closely with sales, program managers, and application engineers on new products. Develop assembly processes and assembly tooling. Perform RF simulation analysis and build and test prototypes to optimize designs prior to release. Create/maintain/update 3D design models and associated drawings. Process engineering change requests. Provide technical support for existing products to solve design-related performance, quality and cost issues. Work with suppliers and internal partners to assure/improve manufacturability of new and existing designs. Other duties as assigned.
