Job Summary

As a Project Engineer – Public Civil Work, you will plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for heavy civil projects. This role focuses on public infrastructure work, ensuring that projects meet design specifications, adhere to safety standards, and are delivered on schedule. You will work closely with project teams to support successful project execution across a range of public civil works initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

+ Plan and develop construction engineering activities for heavy civil public projects in Taylor, AZ.

+ Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with project management tasks and problem resolution.

+ Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects adhere to drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Qualifications

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Engineer plays a crucial role in bridging technical mining expertise with mining operations by providing insights through engineering guidance, driving operational efficiency, financial accountability, and long-term project success. This position is responsible for analyzing operational data, preparing engineering designs/operational GPS support, conducting field data collection, and production forecasting.

By integrating engineering principles, the role provides support for optimizing mining operations, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and evaluating potential efficiency improvements. Additionally, it involves collaboration with Turner Mining Group and client teams, ensuring alignment between corporate objectives, site-level execution, and regulatory compliance.

Position Responsibilities:

Operational & Technical Analysis

• Review operational reports (cost, safety, production) and analyze data for key trends.

• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

• Conduct risk assessments for operational, technical, and financial aspects of mining projects.

• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize mine planning, design, and extraction techniques.

• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance and drive improvements.

Mine Engineering & Survey Duties

• Manage fleet management and high precision GPS systems.

• Develop Drill & Blast pattern, profile, and timing designs and short-range plans.

• Produce road designs, stockpile and waste storage designs, and others in Hexagon MineSight.

• Operate survey drones and reconcile results.

• Analyze FMS and other data for risks and opportunities.

• Audit and advise client on short range mine plans.

Client & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Turner Mining departments and external stakeholders to define project scopes and execution strategies.

• Act as a technical link between client technical services and project management to ensure alignment on operational objectives.

• Participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives, such as internal workshops and training, to support operational and analytical capabilities across teams.

• Engage with suppliers and service providers to optimize procurement strategies for project operations.

Compliance and Safety Integration

• Ensure that all engineering recommendations align with MSHA safety regulations and industry best practices.

• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operational and safety processes.

• Provide technical guidance to ensure site compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.

The Ideal Candidate:

Education and Experience

• Mining or Civil Engineering Degree or related.

• 3 years of mine site engineering or operational experience.

• Hands-on experience with mining engineering software (Hexagon MineSight preferred or similar).

• Part 107 drone license preferred

• Procurement and mine accounting experience preferred

The salary range for this position is: $77,000 - $202,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Position Summary:

The Process Engineer is a technical expert responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process of composite propellant. They play a crucial role in determining the necessary steps to manufacture propellant and propellant-loaded devices, such as rocket motors and gas generators, while ensuring they meet engineering requirements. This position collaborates with various departments, including Program Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Research and Development, Quality, and Product Engineering, to ensure the success of the products. The Process Engineer contributes to the development of manufacturing processes for new products and provides support for existing production processes. They serve as the technical owner of the production process, encompassing chemical processing, equipment requirements, work instructions, tooling design, automation projects, support production operations, and facility design.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Apply engineering principles to safely process propellants, pyrotechnics, and/or explosives for product development or improvement, ensuring compliance with program requirements.

• Develop processes, and techniques to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.

• Document and maintain all process documentations, including but not limited to: Bill of Materials, Process Flows, Work Instructions, etc.

• Understanding and experience in Design of Experiments (DOE), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).

• Develop robust processes for failure analysis and drive continuous improvement.

• Lead and participate in current and future product and facility development projects. Author comprehensive technical documentation packages including but not limited to: Test Plans, Test Reports, Presentations, Validation data package, etc.

**Job Overview:**

As part of our Manufacturing Engineering Project team, the primary function of this position will be to drive the development and execution of corporate strategy and innovation capital projects for Keurig Dr Pepper manufacturing locations. This position will build and manage relationships of internal and external resources to effectively implement project initiatives that drive productivity results, optimize value, and promote growth. This role interacts with individuals from Strategy, Operations, Engineering, Commercial, Beverage Initiatives, and other key Business Units within Keurig Dr Pepper. This role will also work directly with manufacturing sites to develop, modify, and implement plans for capacity and program initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline. This individual will also have experience in developing and executing capital projects in a manufacturing environment. A candidate with Food and Beverage or CPG (Consumer Package Goods) and plant production line experience is considered a plus. Knowledge of high-speed filling, packaging technologies are ideal areas of expertise. PMP Certified, lean methodologies, TPM, and knowledge of key standard work processes are also essential qualities.

**Responsibilities –**

Technical Services:

+ Collaborate and drive network and plant strategies for capacity growth, productivity, and innovation

+ Approval of equipment design, development, and execution

+ Define performance criteria, develop timelines, and estimate capital budgets

+ Define key process parameters and testing methods with the Packaging Engineering team

+ Write and execute equipment specification; provide input on specification platform/management

+ Write and execute SAT’s and FAT’s

+ Provide technical project assistance to project managers and plant personnel

+ Must have strong knowledge management and communication skills

+ Ability to perform statistical analysis is a plus

+ Familiarity with 2D & 3D cad is a plus

Project Management:

+ Capital project process design, development, and execution from concept through closure

+ Provide regular project communication to KDP Leadership and project stakeholders

+ Drive optimization of vertical startup methodology on all projects

+ Ownership of project budget development and execution

+ Ownership of project timelines

+ Ownership and execution of project change management

+ Ownership and storage of all project/knowledge-based information

+ Drive TOB and SOT development with Procurement and Legal

+ Assist with FAT/SAT development and execution

+ Make methodical fact-based, data driven decisions to ensure project success

+ Identify, develop, and execute cost savings programs to support business productivity metrics

+ Drive lean and standard work principles to ensure team/department efficiencies

+ Build strategic relationships and communications with internal customers, stakeholders, and external Partners

**Travel –** This individual will travel primarily to U.S. operations and possibly internationally for equipment FAT’s - up to 50% maximum. We work hard to operate remotely as much as possible and to reduce unnecessary travel.

**Total Rewards:**

+ Salary Range: $91,300- $150,000 / year.

+ Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors

**Requirements:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline required

+ Master’s degree is a plus

+ 5+ years of capital engineering project-based experience required

+ Knowledge of primary packaging equipment and materials/processes (fillers, plastics, aluminum, bottles, cans, caps/closures) required

+ Knowledge of secondary/tertiary packaging equipment (cartoners, case packers, palletizers) required

+ Knowledge of plant infrastructure and operations required

+ Experience with technologies including CSD, Juices and Teas, Aseptic, hot fill highly preferred

+ Strong leadership skills and self-motivation; ability to work independently

+ Strong process and communications skills

About the team

The team's vision is to enable associates and robots to safely and efficiently move packages and containers throughout all of Amazon's transportation facilities enabling Amazon to deliver on its customer promise.

The team is responsible for all containerization operations that occur under the roof at Amazon's sort centers and fulfillment centers. The team works as the interface between Amazon's front-end interfaces and its back-end databases, with a particular focus on orchestrating and directing both associates and robots to improve load fullness and overall dock & load efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
