**Environmental Engineer/Scientist**

POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Engineer/Scientist to join a team of environmental consulting professionals that assists our power generation sector clients in air quality permitting and maintaining compliance with state and federal air quality/environmental regulations. This position is based in the Austin, Texas office and is open to remote work for applicants with experience in Texas. The employee may travel to various POWER offices for periodic meetings

**Roles and Responsibilities**

+ Assists power generation sector clients in determining federal and state air quality regulatory applicability and develops strategies and systems for compliance

+ Preparing applications for initial pre-construction air quality permits and for air quality permit renewals, amendments, and alterations for submission to state and federal agencies

+ Performing air quality and other environmental regulatory compliance tasks, including preparation of periodic reports such as emissions inventories, hazardous chemical inventory reports, and others.

+ Assisting clients with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainability reporting

+ Advocates for POWER’s clients, keeping them informed of pertinent regulatory matters and other issues that impact their business

+ Defining data requirements, gathering and validating information for emission calculations

+ Contributing to ambient air quality impacts analyses utilizing dispersion models (such as AERMOD, SCREEN3, and AERSCREEN) for the purpose of supporting air permitting projects

+ Utilizing software for emissions estimation, regulatory compliance management, and/or assessment of air quality impacts

+ Various aspects of project management, including managing projects and tasks; preparing proposals; coordinating with other staff to prepare and distribute invoices; managing complex project tasks in support of large projects; liaising with clients and other POWER staff; and, developing business on a continuous basis to support the department and company’s financial goals.

+ Develops business for POWER by networking with potential clients and participating in professional trade associations by attending conferences, tradeshows, and webinars

+ Advocates for POWER’s clients, keeping them informed of pertinent regulatory matters and other issues that impact their business

+ Supports business development activities by helping to develop internal marketing materials and contributes technical articles to POWER publications

+ Communicating scientific and technical information through oral briefings, written documents, workshops, and conferences

+ Participates in public meetings and hearings on behalf of clients

+ Performs and ensures QA/QC of technical work

**Required Education/Experience**

+ Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Meteorology, or related science field

+ Three (3) to eight (8) years of relevant air quality permitting and compliance experience, with direct experience permitting power generation facilities

+ Excellent communication skills including report writing, oral presentations, and direct verbal communication

+ Proficiency in the use of standard software including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

+ Availability to travel to client sites periodically

+ Valid driver's license

**Desired Education/Experience**

+ Master's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering or a related science field

+ PE certification

+ Prior environmental consulting experience

+ Client management experience

**Job Description**

Intel is hiring a motivated **RET Software Research Engineer/Scientist.** This position is in the Logic Technology Development (LTD) team, working with one of the most advanced semiconductor development facilities in the world.

The LTD Resolution Enhancement Technology (RET) team is extending the limits of feature sizes that are patternable on Intel's devices, using current and future lithography manufacturing tooling. The team works closely with fab integrated lithography process and mask manufacturing teams using computational lithography tooling to optimize mask patterns and maximize manufacturing process capability. The RET team also works closely with the design rule definition teams, using lithography and patterning simulation capabilities to determine design rules for future Intel process nodes.

**Responsibilities include:**

+ Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) simulations.

+ Image processing and statistical analysis of data for OPC models.

+ OPC model calibration

+ OPC recipe code optimization and validation.

+ Algorithmic design pattern layout manipulation.

+ Support of production mask tapeout and RET validation.

+ Creation of technical documentation and presentations.

+ Clearly and effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing) with a variety of engineers working on multiple projects.

GRAIL is seeking a talented and experienced Prinicipal Scientist, Real World Evidence (RWE). In this leadership role you will be developing developing standardized data models to access multi-modal real-world data (RWD) from disparate sources (EHRs, claims, registries, etc.), linking & processing this data, and generating regulatory-grade RWE in support of GRAIL’s mission to detect cancer early, when it can be cured. We look to you to use your expertise in curating data and building common data models (CDM) as you work with diverse teams including Clinical Data Management, Biostatistics, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Operations, Health systems, Product Development, Software, and external collaborators.

You are an “out-of-the box” thinker, innovative, collaborative, and passionate about making MCED accessible globally. To this end, you will operate as an expert strategic thought leader and serve as the end-to-end owner of real world data to real world evidence strategy and architecture, focusing on data access/capture, linkage/interoperability, processing, bridging data acquisition and analysis, iteration with stakeholders and presentation of results in a high quality and timely fashion.

In this exciting role you are an individual contributor joining our Real World Evidence team in Medical Affairs, with a dotted line into our Biostatistics and Clinical Data Management Department working within GRAIL’s Clinical Development organization.

This role can either be located in Menlo Park, California as a hybrid role with 2 days a week onsite or it can be 100% remote

**Responsibilities**

+ Develop harmonized data models/ data dictionaries that guide the collection, processing, linkage, integration and analyses of healthcare RWD from disparate sources (EHRs, claims, cancer & death registries, PROs, etc.).

+ Evaluate new and existing data sources for fitness & feasibility to unlock new opportunities.

+ Ensure data quality, privacy and security through pre-defined data quality review documentation, and pre-established data governance policies/procedures.

+ Explore development of new approaches to RWD capture through GRAIL-sponsored studies, registries, clinical surveillance and/or other RWE activities.

+ Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to develop and implement shared data processing strategies, state-of-the-art statistical methods and machine learning algorithms (e.g. NLP) to enable RWE generation, interpretation & visualization from global datasets, in an interpretable, reliable fashion.

+ Collaborate with Biostatistics group in developing statistical methods used in a RWE study setting and causal inference for RWE (e.g., propensity score matching/weighting/subclassification, external control arms, count data regressions, survival analysis).

+ Remain up-to-date on the latest advancements in observational research methods and their applications; healthcare data sources; Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) Data Principles; data privacy; etc.

+ As a member of a cross-functional team, GRAIL’s Principal Scientist, RWE will build and maintain cross-functional relationships with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, and business teams; and collaborate with the team effectively to ensure the implementation of rigorous methods and delivery of scientifically sound results, in support of regulatory submissions, publications and/or other uses.

+ Drive the evaluation of technical strengths/weaknesses, work to minimize the limitations of RWD, and influence the decision-making process.

+ Support the development of appropriate sections within study protocols, statistical analysis plans, data management plans, data quality review documentation, etc.

+ Collaborate with external partners (e.g., key opinion leaders, academic & community health systems and networks, CROs, vendors, etc.) on the design and execution of RWD/E studies.

+ As needed, support management of data acquisition and/or analysis vendors and external partners.

+ Contribute to scientific publications, conference presentations, and internal knowledge sharing activities to disseminate research findings and promote scientific excellence within the organization.

+ Mentor junior members of the team.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. with 12+ years relevant experience or M.S. with 15+ years relevant experience in data science, applied mathematics, biostatistics, epidemiology or similar. Experience in Oncology or diagnostic devices is strongly preferred.

+ Expertise in R or Python is required. Direct experience in SQL is preferred.

+ Solid understanding of statistics and machine learning techniques; and integrating ML/NLP and other automated technologies into data processing design.

+ Deep knowledge of the journey of real world data→ real world evidence, such as challenges in data access, de-identification, missingness, data wrangling/curation/transformation/linkage/interoperability, etc.; and hands-on experience in solving these challenges.

+ Demonstrated experience with 1) developing harmonized data models for RWD implemented for prospective RWD collection from disparate sources ; 2) private and public real-world healthcare data sources (non-interventional studies, electronic medical records, administrative healthcare claims, disease registries, national surveys etc.); 3) modalities for data linkage and interoperability (e.g. tokenization, etc.); 4) observational data analysis & comparative effectiveness methods; 5) data processing and quality assurance approaches for both structured and unstructured data.

+ Demonstrated experience working with Clinical Data Management, Statistical Programming, Biostatistics, and Software teams.

+ Experience in the design, execution and reporting of regulatory-grade real-world data studies in the cancer screening, diagnostic, medical device, or pharmaceutical industry.

+ Good knowledge of international regulatory and other guidelines, not limited to ICH, GCP, HIPAA, NICE, and other RWE guidelines.

+ Good communication and collaborations skills (including interpersonal skills to contribute effectively in cross-functional team settings, ability to influence others without authority, ability to build strong collaborative relationships with scientific and non-scientific partners)

**What you will do here:**

As a Senior Data Scientist within the Research Team, you are the foundation of every research project across the Team. You will provide input during the design process of survey instruments and research projects and as the data arrives you will take the lead in its organization, review and cleanup, and the creation of repositories for analysis.
