The School Psychologist works to support students through a variety of mental health and developmental issues and aid in qualifying students for additional support services. Leidos is hiring licensed behavioral health professionals to join our Child and Youth Behavioral, Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) team to support Fort Huachuca near Sierra Vista, AZ.

Join the mission to support U.S. military service members and their families as they work through important military life adjustments while serving their country. The Child and Youth Behavioral Military and Family Life Counselor (CYB-MFLC) position offers a unique opportunity to serve a vital role, in providing non-medical support, which includes counseling, consultation, and outreach, to eligible faculty, staff, parents, children, and youth. Non-medical counseling is preventive in nature and aims to address and provide solution focused approaches to issues before they become greater challenges.

Military children face unique emotional and environmental challenges due to the stress of military life. This is an opportunity for you to reach them where and when you are most needed.

**CYB-MFLC responsibilities include:**

+ Work at installation Child Development Centers (CDCs) with children 0-5, before or after-school care centers for school-aged children, youth and teens on educational activities and appropriate developmental focus.

+ Observe, participate, and engage in activities with children and youth; provide coaching, guidance and support to staff and parents; and model behavior management techniques for staff and parents.

+ Offer presentations to address social skills development and social emotional learning that is crucial for childhood early development.

+ Promote creativity and positivity through approved materials.

+ Help children with transition adjustments, such as a new school and a new home.

+ Participate in regular in-service training or other contract activities as assigned.

**Environment:**

At the direction of the Department of Defense, duties are performed in multiple indoor locations (approximately 60%) and outdoor locations (approximately 40%). The indoor locations are located within a child development center (CDC) controlled by the Department of Defense. The outdoor locations frequently involve traversing over uneven grassy, gravel, and/or dirt areas, ascending/descending stairs, and exposure to the weather.CDC settings frequently involve sitting on the floor to interact with children for up to 2 hours at a time.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ A master’s degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).

Leidos seeks passionate licensed mental healthcare providers ready to embrace a flexible PRN-type schedule, stepping in where needed across military installations and communities to safeguard and enhance mental well-being. MFLCs proactively provide counseling services, preventative in nature, to address and provide solution-focused approaches to issues before they become greater challenges. Interested counselors may support either adults or minors in a wide variety of assignments including but not limited to being embedded with a military unit, supporting military families, or working within a school setting.

**What is Mission Ready Reserve (MRR)?** Mission Ready Reserve MFLCs are trained and available counselors ready to serve when called upon. Working as a Mission Ready Reserve MFLC allows counselors to focus wholeheartedly on their passion for helping others, without by administrative burdens. Mission Ready Reserve counselors are assignment ready and taking an assignment is at the discretion of the Mission Ready Reserve counselor.

Through a variety of mediums, you will use your passion for serving others to provide exceptional counseling to prospective students and their families. Whether in-person, over the phone, via email, text or Zoom, you will champion the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.

Since this role requires extensive travel in your territory, you’ll need a clean driving record and ability to use your personal vehicle. Some events require evening and/or weekend availability. For those who reside outside of Phoenix, you can expect to travel here 1-3 times per month.

+ Computer literacy. As part of a remote workforce, we rely on a number of digital tools to help you execute your work and keep you accountable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

**JOB SUMMARY**

The Cancer Registrar 2 is accountable for case-finding, and abstracting core data items that include pertinent information about the patient, the disease, and its management into an electronic system. Assists in training of registry personnel, adheres to the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) guidelines and requirements for approved programs. Complies with requirements mandated by the Texas State Department of Health Services and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention requirements in terms of timeliness and completeness of reporting. Conducts statistical research related to collection data.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE**

+ Identifies cases for abstraction based on Pathology Reports, HIM Coding reports, Bill Reports, etc.

+ Abstracts data from patient medical record to include patient demographics, diagnostic procedures, history and extent of disease, treatment, follow-up, physician, and other related information.

+ Codes data into database in accordance with protocol requirements.

+ Enters Data of potential cases for abstraction into suspense file in Registry system.

+ Utilizes a variety of resources to perform follow up functions and maintains the follow up percentage as required by the American College of Surgeons.

+ Participates in continuing education programs and in-services to enhance job knowledge and skill set. Educates data collection staff on study requirements and data collection methodology

+ Works closely with Registrars and Registry Manager to ensure operational needs of the facilities are met.

+ Reviews data for accuracy; assembles and disseminates registry data.

+ Coordinates data collection activities; implements data quality control measures

+ Maintains and protects the confidentiality of patient records.

Education and Experience:

Required:

Preferred:
