    Job Purpose

    Create 3, 4, and 5 axis programs (from Customer drawings and CAD files) for CNC mills and lathes, using CAM software, while meeting MCAM quality requirements. Ensure a safe workplace, efficient production processes, minimization of downtime, as well as a clean and orderly production area.

    Principal Accountabilities

    • Develop programs for CNC mills and lathes, maximizing quality and output

    • Write programs for 3, 4, and 5 axis machining centers including complex surfaces

    • Write 3, 4, and 5 axis programs with Horizontal & 5th axis pallet changers and Robotics Programming is a plus.

    • Create user friendly programs for minimally skilled operators, with focus on ease of use

    • Troubleshoot and edit programs at machines as required

    • Provide tooling and fixturing recommendations as applicable

    • Maintain electronic files for all programs

    • Continually works to improve and optimize programs

    • Creates PO requisitions to order material, cutters, tooling, etc. for new jobs

    • Create documentation necessary to manufacture parts
