The Kitt School of Music at Northern Arizona University continues a proud tradition of training the next generation of music teachers, performers, and scholars for the State of Arizona and the Southwest. About the Position

The NAU Kitt School of Music seeks a dynamic, creative, collaborative, and dedicated teacher of clarinet. Secondary teaching will be commensurate with departmental needs and candidate qualifications. This is a 9 month non tenure track academic year position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Teach applied clarinet and related areas (bass clarinet and other auxiliary clarinet instruments, woodwind methods, chamber music, literature, pedagogy) to undergraduate and graduate music majors and minors.
• Teach in a secondary area of expertise, such as music theory, music literature, music education, or introductory general studies in music (Western classical or popular genres).
• Recruit outstanding students.
• Perform with Kitt School of Music faculty in chamber music settings.
• Committee and service assignments consistent with all faculty appointments.

This position is an on-site position which requires the incumbent to complete their work primarily at an NAU site, campus, or facility with or without accommodation. Opportunities for remote work are rare.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in Performance.
• Five years of experience performing clarinet in professional symphonic, wind band, chamber, and/or solo settings

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in teaching performers and future educators at the university/collegiate level.
• Experience performing in solo, chamber, and ensemble settings.
• Experience teaching in a secondary area at the collegiate/university level.

The Instructor possesses knowledge in the field of Computer Science. The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry has 19 faculty committed to excellence in teaching and research. The department currently has over 250 undergraduate majors and offers Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in chemistry including two American Chemical Society certified degrees.

About the Position

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry invites applications for the position of Chemistry Assistant Teaching Professor. This is a 9-month (academic year), non-tenure-track appointment, starting in August 2025. We seek an applicant with relevant expertise in teaching general and organic chemistry lectures and laboratory courses as well as chemical safety. This position is a non-tenure eligible, academic-year appointment beginning August 18, 2025. The position is renewable pending satisfactory job performance, availability of funding, and program needs.

This position has two major job functions in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. The first function is to prepare and teach 100 and 200 level large lecture chemistry courses, such as general chemistry and organic chemistry. These courses may be offered in person, virtually, or hybrid. Additionally, this position will lead the laboratory safety courses (CHM295 and CHM595) taught in the fall semester; these courses are extremely important to maintain safety standards for the instructional and research labs. The second job function is to manage 200-level (organic chemistry) and above instructional labs. The major duties of this function include organizing, preparing, and scheduling the labs in coordination with the lab instructors and faculty. Important for this position is to train and supervise teaching assistants in the content and safety issues associated with the specific lab. The Department offers over 50 organic chemistry lab sections per year (serving over 750 students) along with over 10 upper division lab sections per year. The instructional labs are almost entirely led by undergraduate teaching assistants; thus, oversight is very important to maintaining high standards of instruction and safe conditions.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide instruction in General and/or Organic Chemistry lecture courses.
• Provide instruction in undergraduate and graduate safety courses which are offered every year in the fall semester.
• Oversee Organic Chemistry and upper division laboratory courses (such as analytical, physical, and inorganic chemistries) including training teaching assistants, coordinating with faculty, and ordering reagents/supplies for the laboratory courses.
• Collaborate with the staff and faculty on Organic Chemistry and upper division laboratory course scheduling and staffing

About the Position

The School of Art + Design seeks enthusiastic and energetic applicants for a Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor in Foundations. The faculty holding this position will teach a 4/4 load of Foundations courses appropriate to departmental need and the faculty's strengths and experience. Courses may include 2D and 3D Design, Drawing I and II, Color Theory, and Digital Foundations. The position also includes departmental service.

This is a 9-month, non-tenure eligible, full-time, benefit-eligible, temporary position on the Flagstaff Mountain campus beginning Fall 2025. This appointment is for one year only. Contract dates are August 18, 2025- May 8, 2026.

Responsibilities Include:

• Teaching four Foundation courses per semester.
• Service to the department.

About the Position

The W. A. Franke College of Business invites applicants for one career-track position in Accounting with a start date of August 2025 at the Flagstaff campus. Position rank is at the Assistant Professor of Practice level. We invite applicants with qualifications to teach various introductory accounting courses including, financial and managerial; primarily at the undergraduate level, but potentially at the graduate level depending on expertise. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 4 courses each term. This position is a 9-month position non tenure track position.

**Compensation:**

The wage range for this position is $77,000 - $87,000 per year, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements.

**Responsibilities**

**Job Summary:**

Provide CPR instruction to community members on behalf of Community Health Education Chandler Regional Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.

**Job Responsibilities:**

+ Instructs community members on American Heart Association CPR classes as assigned

+ Facilitate CPR/Keeping Kids Safe or safety class according to class outline, assuring all information is covered completely.

+ Answer participants questions and concerns with accurate and current information to the best of your knowledge. If research is needed, consult with Community Education Coordinator or American Heart Association within 24-48 hours.

+ Participate in committee or collaborative team to improve CPR classes/services as requested

+ Promotes professional development

+ Assumes responsibility for professional development and continuing education

+ Demonstrates the ability to effectively work with various end users to effectively provide the needed information and training

**Qualifications**

**Minimum:**

Minimum 6 months teaching CPR and/or community education classes required.

Two years experience teaching a variety of CPR classes in the community preferred.

Completion of American Heart Association Instructor class and Core Instructor course required.

Knowledge of Automated External Debrifillator (AED) operation required

Current American Heart Association instructor certification in Heartsaver and Basic Life Support required.

A.T. Still University’s School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA) invites applications for the position of a full-time, exempt Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacology at the Mesa, Arizona campus. Faculty members in the Department of Biomedical Science contribute to the mission of ATSU-SOMA and education of medical students through support of student directed learning of basic and clinical sciences through extensive use of clinical cases in a small group setting.

**The following is a list of academic responsibilities that may be required as a full-time member of the Department of Biomedical Science:**

+ Serve as content expert in area of expertise

+ Facilitate small group learning

+ Work collaboratively with other faculty to create and develop cases for case-based learning sessions

+ Prepare educational tools (AV, demonstration models, lectures, lesson plans, etc.) as needed

+ Attend and contribute to curricular meetings and faculty development offerings

+ Provide board-style formative and summative assessment questions in the area of expertise

+ Help to identify underperforming students and their areas of weakness through the use of evaluation tools

+ Interview prospective student candidates for ATSU-SOMA

+ Advise and mentor students

+ Be willing to serve as an advisor to at least one student club

+ Serve on departmental and institutional committees, as assigned or elected

+ Participate in scientific, educational, community-based, or other types of research or other relevant scholarly activity

+ Serve on collaborative University-wide groups as approved by the Dean or designee

Requirements
