    Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.

    **Description**

    Under the direction of the Lead Lifeguard, teach swim lessons, lifeguard and perform public safety work in preventing injuries in the municipal pool facility.

    + Perform a variety of duties including constant observance of patrons, enforcement of safety rules and regulations, administration of first aid and/or artificial resuscitation and teaching swim lessons

    + Responsible for completion of pool deck work (i.e., cleaning decks, gutters, guardhouse, diving boards, vacuuming, etc.)

    + Assist in conducting special swimming activities

    + Handle all patron and pool problems in an efficient, timely and proper manner according to established procedures

    + Function as part of a crew within an emergency plan for the handling of accidents in pool areas

    + Perform other duties as required

    **Qualifications**

    + American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, AED Certifications

    + High School diploma or GED

    About the Department/College

    The Construction Management (CM) Program serves 345 undergraduate students and is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education. The Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering Programs (CENE) jointly serve 287 undergraduate and 18 graduate students and are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.

    The CM Program receives substantial industry support, allowing us to tap into a broad range of expertise. The Generation Next Sponsorship program provides external funding for faculty development and travel; curriculum improvements; and student competitions and field trips. This industry support also allows us to offer the Construct for Practice (C4P) lab, which is a hands-on academic experience that differentiates our program from the competition. Our faculty includes recognized and award-winning teachers who have extensive construction and management experience.

    About the Position

    We seek candidates with a passion for teaching undergraduate students who have recent and relevant domestic construction and/or engineering industry experiences. The primary duties will be in-person classroom teaching in the Construction Management Program, with options to teach in the Civil Engineering Program depending on qualifications and departmental needs.

    The successful candidate will be hired as a full-time, non-tenure track, benefit-eligible Assistant Professor of Practice. This is a nine-month academic year position which will start in the Fall of 2026 on the Flagstaff Mountain Campus, with potential of Spring 2026 start depending on candidate availability and search timeline.

    This is a renewable position pending satisfactory job performance, availability of funding, and program need. Construction Management faculty are eligible to apply for funds from our Friends of Faculty Endowment for travel and professional development support.

    The ideal candidate will have one of the following sets of education, skills and experience:

    • Five or more years of domestic construction and/or engineering experience and a master's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field OR
    • Five or more years of domestic construction and/or engineering experience and a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field; and Master of Business Administration or equivalent OR

    The Mechanical Engineering Department from Steve Sanghi College of Engineering (SCE) at Northern Arizona University invites applications for a career track (non-tenure track) position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background and prior university teaching experience. The Department is especially interested in applicants whose technical expertise is in thermal-fluids and who could also teach selected solid-deformable body-design.
    Responsibilities Include

    Teaching Responsibilities:

    • Teach 24 credit hours of Mechanical Engineering (ME) courses, or laboratory equivalent, during the academic year.
    • Develop undergraduate courses to support existing and new degree programs within the department.
    • Increase the recruitment and retention of mechanical engineering majors.

    • Terminal academic doctoral degree (i.e., PhD, EdD, DSc) from an accredited institution in a field related to physical therapy.
    • Minimum of 3 years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice experience.
    • Academic experience with a physical therapist education program.
    • Contemporary expertise in a variety of clinical and foundational content areas.
    • Eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Arizona.

    For Assistant Clinical Professor (all the above, and):

    • The above qualifications.

    For Associate Clinical Professor (all the above, and):

    • Previous or current academic appointment at rank, or academic record equivalent to associate clinical professor.
    • Full-time 5 years of academic experience within a physical therapy education program.

    For Clinical Professor (all the above, and):

    • Previous or current academic appointment at rank, or academic record equivalent to full clinical professor.
    • Leadership experience within a physical therapy education program or a health care-related education program.
    • Advancement of physical therapy education or practice through scholarly work.

    *A combination of related education, experience, and training may be used as an equivalent to the above Minimum Qualifications.

    Each year Northern Arizona University releases an https://in.nau.edu/police-department/annual-security-and-fire-safety-reports/. The report is a result of a federal law known as the Clery Act. The report includes Clery reportable crime statistics for the three most recent completed calendar years and discloses procedures, practices and programs NAU uses to keep students and employees safe including how to report crimes or other emergencies occurring on campus.
