    **Job Summary**

    Assists in the operation of therapy services designated areas within Good Samaritan Society and Sanford. Will provide assistance for the coordination of staff scheduling and work flows, program implementation and performance improvement activities. Will perform as a clinical resource to therapists/staff and assists in the orientation/mentoring of employees. Assist with monitoring of appropriate indicators for quality and continuous improvement. Will collaborate with leadership on issues pertaining to department growth, team building and maintaining the budget. Supports supervision and operations in the absence of management. Will be responsible to assist in client/patient/resident care as appropriate to clinical background. Must demonstrate support of the mission, vision and values of the organization. Expected to contribute to the strategic planning, day -to-day operations and attainment of the strategic initiatives of the organization. Works as a team member for the overall functioning of the therapy service line.

    Ensures all physical therapy related standards, policies, protocols and quality requirements are met. Exhibits flexibility with acceptance of variable work schedules/assignments. Participates in activities to promote the department and Sanford Health. Performs other related duties as requested by manager.

    May be asked to supervise assistants, aides, and students as they provide patient/resident care, treatment, or other services. Follows and adheres to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organization.

    Based on facility and location assigned, work may focus on those receiving intervention in the post-acute, long term care and home health care environments.

    **Qualifications**

    Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.

    Must have two years Physical Therapy experience.

    Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.

    When applicable, may require valid driver's license.

    Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
