**Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**

Starts at $18.50, plus overnight compensation (shifts are 7 pm – 7 am (3) 12-hour shifts)

The primary role of a Hyatt Security Officer is to provide for the safety and security of the hotel’s guests and employees. Officers will adhere to established standards in the performance of their duties.

Security Officers shall:

· Enforce rules and policies with respect and professionalism.

· Resolve conflicts with the use of de-escalation techniques.

· Analyze situations accurately and implement an effective course of action.

· Clearly communicate incident details with management.

· Create accurate incident/accident reports as necessary.

· Identify and investigate suspicious behavior and irregular activity.

· Conduct Foot Patrols of designated areas.

· Respond to alarms and requests for assistance.

· Respond to medical emergencies, render aid, and relay information to EMS.

· Utilize CCTV systems for investigations and surveillance.

· Other duties as assigned by the Director of Security.

Responsibilities Job Summary The Security Officer patrols designated HonorHealth properties, screens visitors, and performs other activities related to the safety and security of staff, patients, and visitors. Some activities can involve elements of danger or risk of injury and restraining patients. Responsible for ensuring a safe and secure hospital campus. Patrols assigned areas, checking for suspicious activity or safety/fire hazards. Investigates and/or reports hazards, unusual or suspicious circumstances to the appropriate leadership personnel. Checks doors and windows of buildings to ensure they are tightly closed and locked; notes in written log any unlocked doors/windows; submits information to supervisor and/or manager. Escorts people/property to desired destination when monies, documents or safety of property or persons are a concern. Responds to alarms and dispatched calls and takes appropriate actions. Unlocks buildings/doors after checking identification and compliance with hospital policies. Enforce organizational policies. (i.e. parking, smoking, badge compliance) Provides training to staff as needed. Responsible for assisting in emergency situations. Acts as first responder to disturbances/emergencies such as infant abduction alarms, fire alarms, panic alarms, intruder alarms, restraint calls anywhere in hospital or on hospital grounds. Must respond to urgent security calls immediately, which may require rapid stair climbing, running/sprinting, moving of heavy equipment and other associated tasks. In the event of emergencies, must take charge of maintaining order, safety and to protect personnel and property. This position is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. Our Critical Facility Officers allow us to accomplish our company’s core purpose which is “to service, secure and care for the people and businesses in our communities.” Critical Facility Security Officers act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; they detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests or employees at the site.

This position is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. Our Critical Facility Officers allow us to accomplish our company’s core purpose which is “to service, secure and care for the people and businesses in our communities.” Critical Facility Security Officers act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; they detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests or employees at the site.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Ensure the facility is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property.
