We are inviting Health Research Analysts with a *quantitative focus* to join us in contributing to domestic health policy projects. Our current work includes a wide range of topics in health care service delivery and financing, quality measures, and health systems change. Health analysts work on a variety of projects spanning policy and programmatic areas as well as program evaluation and implementation support. They typically work on more than one project at a time and are matched to projects that suit their interests and skills and offer opportunities for professional growth.

*Example projects include:*

* Evaluating the implementation and impact of Medicare and Medicaid innovation initiatives aimed at expanding access to care, improving health care quality, promoting health outcomes, or reducing costs.
* Studying the effects of multi payer delivery system innovations on health care access, quality, health outcomes, and costs.
* Analyzing, designing, and producing large federal health insurance program datasets and reporting systems.
* Designing and implementing state-of-the-art methods to measure service utilization and quality of care in support of value-based payment reforms.
* Assessing the quality of health care in publicly sponsored insurance programs like Medicaid and Medicare.
* Designing efficient and effective payment models and delivery systems.
* Contributing to the development, testing, and maintenance of quality measures.
* Providing technical assistance and learning support for stakeholders, such as policymakers and health care providers.
* Working with states to address Medicaid payment reform initiatives and multi-payer proposals, improving health service delivery.
* Conducting analysis and studies on COVID-19 impacts on patient populations and provider services.

Responsibilities: Health Research Analysts with a quantitative focus will participate in key project activities, which vary by project and may include:

* Contributing to quantitative analyses using large databases to determine program outcomes or to conduct policy simulations, including:
o Developing programming specifications for data cleaning and analytic file construction.
o Summarizing data quality issues.
o Participating in quality assurance of code and output.
o Defining analysis specifications and output formats and shells.
o Developing user manuals and other documentation for reporting systems and analytic tools.
o Drafting client memos, issue briefs, chapters of analytic reports, and proposals for new projects.
o Other potential responsibilities, such as:
+ Participating in interviews or site visits to assess the implementation and cost of state, federal, and local health care programs.
+ Supporting analysis of qualitative data collected from interviews, site visits, or other data collection efforts.
+ Providing technical assistance to state and federal health agencies or health care providers (for example, by designing webinars or responding to questions from providers/stakeholders).
+ Reviewing and summarizing the literature on current health policy topics

Position Requirements:

* Master’s degree in public policy, economics, statistics, public health, social work, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Strong analytic skills, including knowledge of quantitative analytic research methods.
* Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to write clear and concise technical memos and documents and accessible stakeholder-facing memos, briefs, and presentation materials.
* Ability to complete tasks on tight deadlines without compromising quality.
* Ability to support multiple projects and balance competing priorities.
* Experience working with a state or federal government, foundation, policy research organization, or health care program is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of Medicare or Medicaid policies and programs, and/or experience working with Medicare or Medicaid eligibility and claims data is a plus.
* Candidates with post-graduate, relevant professional experience in priority policy areas, such as Medicare or Medicaid, are encouraged to apply.

This position offers an anticipated base salary of $70,000 - $95,000 annually. This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.

Staff in our Health unit will eventually work with our largest client, Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services (CMS). Most staff working on CMS contracts will be required to complete a successful background investigation including the Questionnaire for Public Trust Position SF-85. Staff that are unable to successfully undergo the background investigation will need to be able to obtain work outside CMS. Staff will work with their supervisor to get re-staffed, however if they are unable to do so it may result in employment termination due to lack of work.

**HomeSafe Alliance** is the single global household goods movement manager of over 300,000 Military Household Goods moves per year for USTRANSCOM and the U.S. Armed Forces, Department of Defense civilians, U.S. Coast Guard, and their families.

The **Business Analyst** role requires an analytical and technically skilled individual to lead our analytics and data mining efforts within our Contact Center. This position will be responsible for coordinating, scheduling, documenting, and assisting with process improvement initiatives in the Contact Center.

The Business Analyst will work cross-functionally with key stakeholders in contact center operations, Booking, Dispatch, and various project teams to drive process improvement and track progress against goals. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities, outstanding business acumen, and comfort with contact center metrics and systems.

**POSITION DESCRIPTION** :

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

+ Good communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships.

+ Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

+ Good collaboration skills.

+ Detail oriented, flexible, and capable of working with minimal supervision.

+ Prior experience creating dashboards.

+ 6 years of data & analytics experience or a minimum of 4 years of data & analytics experience and up to 2 years of progressive functional business proven experience within the respective industry of responsibility (i.e. P&C, Bank, Finance, Marketing etc.) for a total of 6 years combined experience

+ Demonstrates advanced skills in mathematical and statistical techniques and approaches used to drive fact-based decision-making.

+ Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, developing analysis queries and procedures in SQL, SAS, BI tools or other analysis software, and relevant industry data & methods and ability to connect external insights to business problems.

+ Experience with new and emerging data sets, and incorporation (data wrangling, data munging) into new insights.

Job Title: Oxford – Business Analyst

Job Overview: We are seeking a qualified Business Analyst to join our Project Management Department. Are you experienced, tech-savvy, and looking for a new challenge? Responsibilities and Duties: This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.

+ Work with multi-functional business units and IT teams to understand and document project objectives, scope, requirements, milestone, deliverables, schedule and cost estimates.

+ Coordinate vendor evaluations and demonstrations; and support vendor negotiations, vendor deliverable tracking and invoice processing (when applicable).

+ Monitor and control each project by tracking, reviewing and communicating progress to project partners to include risk and issue management, decision and action item tracking.

+ Prepare for and lead project team meetings including creation and distribution of meeting agendas and meeting notes.

+ Participate in continual process improvement within the PMO.

+ Keep abreast of current trends and makes recommendations for self-development. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ Minimum three years of Business Analyst experience.

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or related field or 5 years Business Analyst experience.

+ Demonstrated experience working in both Agile/SCRUM and waterfall environments with understanding of SDLC concepts, methodologies and practices

+ Ability to sense, respond to and appropriately escalate risk and/or change impacting a project

+ Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Proven experience with people management, risk management and change management

+ Ability to be proactive and independent, as well as interdependent on the team when necessary Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

SMX is seeking a Business Analyst to translate business needs into technical objectives by gathering user requirements, developing recommendations for implementation, and identifying solutions to satisfy the business need. This candidate will have experience reporting project status to management including risks, issues, and key decisions. You'll understand the overall direction and nuanced user needs clearly, and you'll work to communicate business needs across various stakeholders. You will work closely with clients and project teams. This role is remote supporting a Boston, MA based team with occasional travel.

To be successful as a Business Analyst, you should possess business analysis skills and requirements gathering skills needed to research and document complex business requirements, use cases, and test cases. You will investigate, troubleshoot, and enhance complex application functionality. This role will participate in testing and other application support activities, as well.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**

+ Understand business processes and interpret them to define requirements, analyze current as-is processes and conceptualize to-be requirements.

+ Support the development of detailed user requirements, user stories, test scenarios and test cases.

+ Support solution developers and business subject matter experts with documentation of functional and technical processes using Lucid.

+ Develop detailed process maps and business process procedure documentation.

+ Analyze data and draw conclusions from the data as it relates to business processes.

+ Develop Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word documentation.

+ Work with subject matter experts to define performance measures and collection methodology.

+ Support project management activity including metric analysis, process analysis, system analysis, measuring success, and stakeholder and leadership reporting.

**Required Skills/Experience:**

+ Bachelor’s degree required. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree will be considered.

+ 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
