    The retail Sales and Service Technician (SST) is a unique hybrid role for stores and is intended as a key pipeline for future career-growth within Firestone Complete Auto Care.     Schedule: Day Shift (7) Works every Thurs, Fri, Sat e/o Wed. Start Time: 05:45 AM to 6:15 PM

    Pay Rate: $23.00/hr

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Operates, maintains, and performs minor upgrade projects on mechanical systems. Includes doing the monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual PMs, as well as fixing any operational and maintenance issues that occur on the mechanical system.

    + Responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of building and facility equipment, fixtures and systems.

    + Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical, heating, and cooling systems.

    + Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance duties. Assignments are semi-routine in nature. Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems.

    + Receives general instructions and review of job plans for all work.

    Requirements:

    + Knowledge of the mechanical systems such as exhaust, chillers, boilers, air handlers, compressors, etc operation. Experience performing general industrial mechanical work including instrument calibrations.

    + Written and verbal communication skills. Organization and time management skills.

    + Able to adhere to stringent environmental compliance culture and willingness to work a compressed work week schedule.

    + Work in clean room environments, must be able to wear PPE and air supplied respirator, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves.

    + Operate a PIT forklift, pallet jack and spend a considerable part of your day working in a mobile environment.

    Preferences:

    + 1 to 3 years of experience in: Facilities preventative and corrective maintenance.

    Physical Effort/Activities:

    May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
