**Position Summary**

The retail Sales and Service Technician (SST) is a unique hybrid role for stores and is intended as a key pipeline for future career-growth within Firestone Complete Auto Care. This role is primarily responsible for serving the customer through assessing needs, recommending appropriate products and/or services, performing entry-level vehicle services, and ensuring customer satisfaction through thorough and timely completion of services.

Successful individuals in this role will learn all aspects of store operations and effectively flex between interacting/ serving the customer and efficiently completing basic vehicle service tasks as required.

**Responsibilities**

+ Customer service, sales, customer issue resolution- 75%.

This role is responsible for general maintenance assignments and performing day-to-day equipment and facility repairs. This position may also support projects such as rebuilding pumps, motors, and other shop repairs as needed. At times, duties may also include handling hazardous materials, waste, water treatment and performing inspections.

** SHIFT DAYS/HOURS - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Wednesday (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM) **

Follow specified safety protocol when performing all routine and non-routine maintenance procedures.
Establish preventative, corrective and routine maintenance on facilities equipment to ensure proper functionality, and ensure necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
Lead troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment failures, identifying appropriate solutions, and in charge of repairing equipment as needed.
Reference equipment blueprints, diagrams, or other resource materials to ensure proper inspection, repair, and use of equipment.
Oversee accurate records of work in progress and completed tasks.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.  May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of education
4+ years’ maintenance experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
Experience with quality management systems
Certified forklift operator or ability to become certified
Respirator certified or ability to become certified
Successful completion of Hazardous Waste (RCRA) Intermediate level training

Job Description:
Summary:
This role is responsible for acting as a testing resource for the lab, supporting the current technicians and provide testing services used to facilitate production and certification of products. This role will also assist in maintaining documentation of test results, procedures and calibration of tools and equipment.

Essential Functions:

Provides accurate and timely test results and assist production with in-process testing.
Maintains quality records and procedures.
Performs standard testing in a lab environment when needed
Certifies physical properties to customers and generates certificate of compliance.
Maintains records of calibration and repair and perform calibrations on equipment/tools.
Maintains labs inventory of test consumables.
Reviews compliance of materials to material specifications.
Other duties as assigned.

Assist Facilities and Equipment Maintenance technicians in maintaining and repairing facilities and equipment. Assists with preventive/predictive maintenance work. Maximizes production uptime while maintaining excellent safety, human relations, quality, and environmental standards. Performs facilities cleaning duties, as necessary.

Specific Job Responsibilities

Primary Work

Follows all Safety procedures, practices, and protocols. Follows proper grounding and bonding. Follows protocols for working in an explosion-proof workplace. Takes action to correct unsafe acts, systems, and procedures.
Ensure all work is conducted safely and effectively and all applicable procedures, policies, and regulations are followed completely and correctly.
Complies with Lockout/tag-out procedures,

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Operates, maintains, and performs minor upgrade projects on mechanical systems. Includes doing the monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual PMs, as well as fixing any operational and maintenance issues that occur on the mechanical system.

+ Responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of building and facility equipment, fixtures and systems.

+ Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical, heating, and cooling systems.

+ Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance duties. Assignments are semi-routine in nature. Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems.

+ Receives general instructions and review of job plans for all work.

Requirements:

+ Knowledge of the mechanical systems such as exhaust, chillers, boilers, air handlers, compressors, etc operation. Experience performing general industrial mechanical work including instrument calibrations.

+ Written and verbal communication skills. Organization and time management skills.

+ Able to adhere to stringent environmental compliance culture and willingness to work a compressed work week schedule.

+ Work in clean room environments, must be able to wear PPE and air supplied respirator, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves.

+ Operate a PIT forklift, pallet jack and spend a considerable part of your day working in a mobile environment.

Preferences:

+ 1 to 3 years of experience in: Facilities preventative and corrective maintenance.

Physical Effort/Activities:

May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds. **Overview**

The Facility & Maintenance technician will oversee the performance and maintenance of large production machinery and facilities items.

**Responsibilities**

+ Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.

+ Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.

+ Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.

+ Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.

+ Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.

+ Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of building and facility equipment, fixtures, and systems.

+ Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical, electrical, heating, and cooling systems.

+ Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance duties.

+ Assignments are semi routine in nature.

+ Work performed within generally defined parameters.

+ Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems.

+ Normally receives general instructions on most work.

+ Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.

+ Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.

+ Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.

**Required Qualifications**

+ Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required.

+ Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.

+ Works well independently and with others.

+ Strong communication skills.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.

**Physical Requirements**

+ Prolonged periods standing and walking.

+ Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.

+ Must be able to visually inspect machines.

+ Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
