    JOB SUMMARY: The Welder’s primary objective is to weld metal parts and subassemblies according to specifications as part of the production process in building custom road construction equipment and trailers. This person is responsible for high quality results that meet safety and performance standards.

    MAJOR DUTIES:

    Operate mig or tig welder to weld various grades of steel (grade 50 up to T1) or aluminum parts or subassemblies
    Read blueprints and follow specifications to complete work orders in an effective and timely fashion
    Adjust welder according to material grade and thickness and inspect work for quality conformance
    Accurately capture job costing information for each work order
    Identify opportunities for continuous improvement on quality, efficiency, safety, and cost
    Take immediate action to report where scrap or rework due to poor quality materials and parts are identified
    Follow all safety, health and environmental procedures and actively promote a safe work environment
    Promote Etnyre’s 5S CANDO program by maintaining clean and orderly work area
    Perform other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    High School Diploma required; additional technical certification in welding (or similar) and ASME or AWS certification preferred.

    + Strong understanding of engineering principals and design techniques

    + Effective interpersonal skills in order to develop report and build positive relationships with both internal and external customers

    + Ability to work with engineers to determine best practices, design for servicing, and maintainability

    + Experience analyzing and interpreting schematics and drawings to identify producibility issues

    + Experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe software, including 3D-PDF

    + Motivated self-starter with the ability to use good judgement and to work independently or collaboratively in an engineering environment

    + Associates degree in related field; OR military electronics or avionics training, OR vocational or college program certificate

    + Familiarity with 3D drawings and CAD tools

    + Ability to prioritize work, understanding of schedule and budgets

    + J-STD-001 Solder certification

    + IPC 610 & 620 Acceptability certifications and inspection experience

    + Experience working in an environment where your work is post-build inspected

    + Experience with the fabrication and cleaning of High Pressure / High Purity Gas Systems
