**Responsibilities**

The Cardiovascular Technician performs diagnostic procedures that include exercise stress testing, 24-hour ambulatory electrocardiography, non-invasive vascular testing, and electrocardiogram editing.

The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required.

During the selection process you will participate in a virtual (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the virtual interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question — Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps as appropriate.

**Qualifications**

Requires HS diploma or G.E.D.

**Additional Qualifications** :

+ Graduation from a cardiovascular technician, certified nursing assistant, or medical assistant program preferred.

+ Availability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.

+ Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.

+ Strong computer skills preferred.

**Certifications** :

Basic Life Support certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.

Monday through Friday, 8 hour shifts, schedule TBD.
Holidays - 2 per year

**Weekend Schedule**

As needed basis, weekend shifts rotated between all staff, 10 hour shifts.
On call - every 6 to 8 weeks
