Summary You will serve as a Human Resources Specialist in the Human Resource Office of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA. Responsibilities You will provide advice and assistance to employees and management concerning training and professional development and training opportunities to include a variety of training programs. You will assist managers in the development and implementation of training plans for employees under the Veterans Recruitment Appointment (VRA) and Veterans Employments opportunity Act (VEOA). You will be responsible for the administration of the drug-free workplace program. You will be responsible for the administration of a performance management program. You will participate in all phases administering work-life programs. You will provide technical advice and assistance to all levels of management concerning administration of staffing and recruitment efforts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: supporting three or more of the following Human Resources Functions: workforce training and development, performance management, drug-free workforce program, staffing and recruitment, employee awards, workers compensation, federal leave programs, or work-life programs. GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: administering four or more of the following Human Resources functional areas: workforce training and development, performance management, drug-free workforce program, staffing and recruitment, employee awards, workers compensation, federal leave programs, or work-life programs. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS-09: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related GS-11: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
