About the Role

As a journeyman level technician, in this his role you will be responsible for the effective day to day execution of maintenance and repair of heavy-duty mobile equipment, identifying reliability issues, and managing reporting. Additionally, you will mentor less experienced maintenance technicians and teaching maintenance best practices.

Qualifications

+ Maintenance and repair of Heavy-Duty Mobile Mining Equipment. Including, but not limited to, Haul Trucks, Dozers, Hydraulic Shovels, Motor Graders, Front End Loaders, and articulating trucks.

+ Understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic fundamentals

+ Experience with OEM maintenance repair manuals and schematics.

+ Knowledge of condition monitoring, contamination control, basic air conditioning, and lubrication.

+ Ability to safely operate and move various mine equipment for servicing.

+ Ability to learn operation of small mobile equipment, aerial lifts, forklifts, etc.

+ Understand confined space, fall protection, equipment isolation, and basic welding standards and procedures.

+ SAP experience a plus.

+ Ability to lead, mentor and teach less experienced maintenance mechanics.

+ Able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English.

+ 3 years of experience preferred.

· Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, including walking up and down stairs and across uneven surfaces.

· Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.

· Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.

· Ability to work in both hot and cold environments with high humidity.

· Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, and squat, occasionally in confined spaces.
