The Senior Network Administrator manages the operations of networking systems related to network connectivity, WAN, LAN, SDWAN, and Wi-Fi. This role is accountable to deploy, configure and troubleshoot systems as well as research new technologies and leverage optimization techniques to ensure that networks operate efficiently.

Key Performance Objectives:

+ Build and maintain the operations of all networking equipment, LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi systems to ensure availability for the enterprise.

+ Manages the day-to-day operations of network equipment by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair.

+ Experienced with Cisco networking, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Meraki switching and routing,

+ Leverage optimization techniques to maximize the efficiency of all networking systems.

+ Follows guidelines and methods for the installation and management of networking equipment and other components.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve any IT service issues related to network, WAN, LAN, and Wi-Fi.

+ Works with vendors to assist with network support activities.

+ Implement and maintain a systems business impact assessment to prioritize system recovery in the event of a failure.

+ Build and implement network standards for WAN, LAN, and Wi-Fi systems.

+ Train Jr. Network Administrator on setting up network environments.

+ Train the technical support staff on solving common network-related problems.

+ Work with third-party vendors and consultants on developing system-specific skills.

Work Experience/Education

At least five (5) - ten (10) years of Network Administrator Experience. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Specialized Skills & Knowledge Certificates & Licenses

+ Proficiency with Cisco networking, Palo Alto Firewalls, Meraki switching and routing, and SilverPeak or other SDWAN experience.

+ Cisco CCNA Certification.

+ Possesses expert knowledge of networking concepts (e.g. Systems, Protocols, Directory Services)

+ Ability to manage network projects and 3rd party vendors

+ Strong logical and analytical thinker

+ Attention to detail

+ Able to find root causes of problems and quickly determine efficient solutions

+ Can anticipate risks and mitigate in the moment

+ Comfortable under high-stress and exhibits poise and focus

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

Software & Technology

Position will require the frequent use of MS Windows 10, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook and ServiceNow.

Work Environment

This position is generally indoors in a climate-controlled office. However, office site visitations maybe required. A clean driving record will be required due to potential road travel. A current and valid drivers license and proof of acceptable insurance is required.
