Be part of the military Auxiliary Power Unit Project Engineering team, within Honeywell Power Systems, executing product development activities for a new military APU program. You will be the technical leader and be the primary decision maker for your work package cost, schedule and technical execution. The engineering team needs an additional Project Engineer to coordinate detail design effort.

Key Responsibilities

+ Leads the work package engineering team executing design and development tasks as the single point of engineering accountability to the Program Lead Project Engineer

+ Regularly provides status to and coordinates with the Program Lead PE

+ ctions as project manager, estimating budget, schedule and staffing forecast.

+ Ensures work package team executes effort on time and within budget

Travel to the US and/ or internationally - 10%

YOU MUST HAVE

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

+ At least 4 years of demonstrated experience leading engineering teams in a dynamic multi-functional environment

+ Due to export compliance restrictions, this position requires US person status.

WE VALUE

+ Project engineering experience executing aerospace product development

+ Experience in managing the effort of an engineering team

+ Program/control account management skills and/or experience with Earned Value Management

+ Effective communication skills and ability to manage a cross-functional team in a matrixed environment

+ Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
