**Required Skills:**

Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

1. Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.

2. Be both a highly technical, and an effective people manager.

3. Be a subject matter expert in at least one specific domain. (examples: product, product infrastructure, infrastructure, machine learning).

4. Lead teams that deliver on multiple projects of increasing dependencies in an ambiguous or high-impact area.

5. Work with team and cross functional partners to define and influence strategy.

6. Work on issues requiring an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.

7. Drive roadmap creation and execution.

8. Collaborate with various functions, drive engineering initiatives and have an impact at an organizational level.

9. Participate in technical design.

10. Measure the impact of team and set clear expectations and goals.

11. Manage activities of two or more sections or departments, supervising costs, methods, and staffing.

12. Work effectively with cross functional partners and stakeholders to set and achieve optimal outcomes.

13. Partner with leadership to influence and drive org design, contribution and prioritization.

14. Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. permitted.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

Minimum Qualifications:

15. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, and 24 months of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Requires 24 months of experience in the following:

16. 1. Software engineering work experience including hands-on technical management building infrastructure core components

17. 2. Coding in one of the following languages: C++, Java, Javascript, Python, or PHP

18. 3. Architecting, developing, and shipping software products and/or services

19. 4. Building products including front end technologies or backend systems

20. 5. Unix or Linux

21. 6. Scaling high performance, high throughput systems

22. 7. Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems in large-scale systems

23. 8. Coordinating large-scale, cross-functional efforts that span different teams

24. 9. Developing and managing requirements, and making data-driven decisions.

**Public Compensation:**

$231,714/year to $279,400/year + bonus + equity + benefits
