**Required Skills:**

Network Engineer, Deployment and Support Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement new network architectures.

2. Participate in technical decisions to improve the network landscape.

3. Help create and improve both existing and future alerting and monitoring systems.

4. Develop and optimize processes and documentation as well as perform network configuration changes and optimizations across a multivendor, multiprotocol environment.

5. Work on performance measurement to ensure improved efficiency and will create process automation via scripting.

6. Build out both Meta's datacenter and network footprint.

7. Diagnose and correlate network problems, identify root causes, and develop/implement remediation strategies.

8. Scale Meta’s global network by building new infrastructure, analyzing and implementing new architectures, and develop and create of new operational procedures.

9. Be responsible for deploying, implementing, and supporting a variety of network equipment.

10. Configure and add capacity to the network.

11. Configure and add network devices.

12. Perform fault isolation and trouble resolution on network hardware, software, and circuits.

13. Maintain technical and training documentation, develop automation and tooling as needed.

14. Design, deploy, and support large-scale datacenter, and enterprise network infrastructure.

15. Manage and deploy fiber optic networks.

16. Including fiber characterization, cross-connect management, and fiber splicing activities.

17. Manage fiber asset data quality.

18. Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. permitted.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

Minimum Qualifications:

19. Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, or related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in an engineering-related occupation. Experience must include 24 months of experience in the following:

20. Deploying optical networks

21. Optical network design, installation, and maintenance

22. Knowledge of optical theory, transport technologies and the operation of optical transport systems

23. Familiarity with modern DWDM network architectures and equipment

24. Experience interpreting, creating, and comprehending OSP/ISP network diagrams

25. Familiarity with different fiber and connector types

**Public Compensation:**

$133,016/year to $156,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
