As an **Operational Trainer** , you will be responsible to cast a leadership shadow by living our core values to new and tenured employees in the organization. You will also be required to perform the job role in which you train to maintain subject matter expertise for all business areas you support, while performing at or above tenured goals.

You will lead and develop new employees from day one through proficiency in their job role. The learning efforts you support will include traditional instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning strategies. In the role of an Operations Trainer, you will apply innovative and creative learning strategies including but not limited to role-playing, demonstration, guided and enhanced practice, documented procedures, and more, using instructor-led and blended motivational models leading toward effective and efficient learning.

This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.

We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

+ Acts as a leader and maintains professionalism in all interactions with learners and business leaders.

+ Facilitates classroom, virtual, and blended learning to varied audiences within primary skill set

+ Actively participates in the design process by providing content and process documentation feedback.

+ Analyzes and addresses performance metrics during and post class with individual learners and at the class level.

+ Conducts local metric remediation coaching.

+ Successfully demonstrates and maintains professional and facilitation skills.

+ Participates in performing production work to maintain subject matter expertise.

+ Builds collaborative partnerships with peers, others in Learning Solutions and with business partners.

+ Mentors and develops delivery support staff provided by business partners.

**Required Qualifications:**

+ High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent years of working experience

+ Must be 18 years of age OR older.

+ 6+ months of experience with GEHA members

+ Basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint

+ Intermediate level of proficiency Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

+ Ability and willingness to travel up as needed for business needs, less than 10%

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Interest in international travel

+ Experience in project management

+ Subject matter expertise in an area in which your role will support the business.
