**Where You Will Work **

Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. Employees working on a flexible schedule collaborate online and in-person at our Collaboration Hub at the Cotton Center in Phoenix. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Amenities at the Hub include a working café, phone booths and meeting rooms with technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration.

**Description**

Responsible for leading teams of data engineers assigned to global initiatives. Collaborate with enterprise product management teams and senior management to coordinate activities and align practices. Works with the Director, Global Business Intelligence to ensure efforts are properly staffed, OKRs established and teams performing effectively. Work also as an Agile scrum master to align teams to company goals and coach and enable members in the pursuit of value.

+ Manage a “flex” team of contractors scaling from 5 to 25 people assigned to different initiatives. Utilize existing or create new processes for staying abreast of status, issues and current demand to ensure commitments are met and value being delivered.

+ Empower teams and collaborate with product owners by performing as an Agile scrum master to lead data engineering-centric efforts not to exceed two concurrent sprints. Coach other team members to serve in scrum master roles for other efforts.

+ Coach team members to develop stronger functional and technical skills for the applications which they are aligned to support.

+ Manage early “initiation” activities to understand data engineering requirements and resource needs. Partner with the Enterprise Data Architect to align design practices or develop new ones.

+ Partner with the offshore interface development center of excellence and Power BI COE for feeding work into each respective organization.

+ Perform other duties as requested.

**Qualifications**

Minimum Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s Degree and eight (8) years of experience in information services, process technology field including five (5) years of project management/leadership experience on large system implementations

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Math or related field, and

+ Eight (8) years of experience in information services and four (4) years of team leadership experience leading data engineers and/or ETL-BI developers

+ Strong understanding of Agile

+ Strong data engineer with experience supporting large scale Business Intelligence and Data Science efforts.

+ Expert in use of SQL and relational database technologies

+ Scrum Master certification

Criteria/Conditions:

+ Position requires collaboration and coordination with offshore and PTFI-based resources requiring evening meetings.

+ Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator. Occasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting.

+ Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.

+ Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds.

+ Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.

+ Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

**What We Offer You**

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently **$118,000 - $165,000.** This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance. Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration. Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements.
