The Million Dollar Teacher Project is a non-profit organization that’s mission is to empower teachers. At MDTP we believe that “to create amazing students, we need amazing teachers” and we want to be a driving force behind supporting and retaining great educators. We are seeking hardworking, passionate volunteers who are looking to grow and develop personally and professionally, all while making an impact on their community.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage special event operations/logistics
• Volunteer recruitment
• Create partnerships with the business community
• Distribute sponsorship packets to potential sponsors
• Develop a contact strategy for potential partners and sponsors
• Participate in staff meetings
• Other duties as assigned
• Must be able to use multiple sites to create, proof, and edit content for all social media outlets.
• Articulate the program’s goals and have good communication skills.
• Work closely with individuals and be able to work with professionals.
• Must be able to work with Private businesses and to effectively communicate with multiple groups. Works well with event planning and is flexible with schedule changes.

Requirements
• Part-time/full time positions available
• Possess a good attitude, hard work ethic, and a passion for helping communities
• Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, Marketing majors (or related degree) preferred
• All majors welcomed
• Internship range is August 1st- May 31st
• Must be at least 16 years old

EMCC Internship requirements
-Must be an enrolled EMCC student
-Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA
-Must have completed at least one semester at Maricopa Community Colleges or have previous internship experience
-Must complete a minimum of 80 hours of work
-Must complete required forms, evaluations and track internship hours

Compensation
Unpaid, This internship may qualify for a WIRCCS scholarship that can provide up to $1,000.
