Summary
Inspects purchased parts at a vendor's plant prior to shipment; required to perform product acceptance functions at off-site locations. Provides liaison with suppliers to assure the quality and reliability of purchased materials.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Checks suppliers’ work and progress to ensure conformance to specifications.
+ Performs complex electrical and/or mechanical inspections.
+ Plans, performs, and reports results of evaluations of operating practices in production, inspection, and supporting departments.
+ Maintains an assigned vendor base as well as provide backup across various suppliers.
+ Evaluates accuracy and verifies implementation of reported corrective actions.
+ Maintains appropriate records, initiates various inputs for management summaries, and assures that survey history documentation is complete and maintained to meet applicable requirements.
+ Performs special evaluations, audits, and appraisals as required.
+ Prepares reports and makes recommendations as appropriate.
You Must Have
+ A bachelor’s degree and at least two (2) years of experience, or a High School Diploma and at least four (4) years of experience required in a mechanical and/or electrical engineering, manufacturing, or production environment as a Quality Inspector, Auditor, Machinists, or Quality Engineering role.
+ Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
+ Must meet eye exam requirements.
+ Ability to travel as determined by the needs of the business up to 100% of the time.
+ Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
+ Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
+ United States Citizenship.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).

+ Current certification from Honeywell or other recognized professional organization: American Welding Society (AWS); American Society for Quality (ASQ); ISO-1000; IPC-600 and/or IPC-610; NDT or equivalent certification). In absence of current certifications, must demonstrate capability to attain certification.
