As the Building Automation Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our Honeywell and Tridium building automation systems. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering world class service to our clients, contributing to the seamless operation of smart buildings, and championing Honeywell's commitment to excellence.
You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisor, and you will cover the New York City service area.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform preventative maintenance on building automation equipment to ensure optimal functionality
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot issues promptly, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions
+ Provide on-site support to clients, addressing technical inquires, and offering guidance on system usage
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all service activities including installation records, maintenance reports, troubleshooting procedures, etc.
+ Interfaces with service business leaders, service supervisors, service project managers or subcontractors on projects to coordinate activities as required in an ethical and professional manner
+ Provides field proposals for retrofits, upgrades and or enhancements to existing equipment
+ Ensure proper use of safety and personal protection equipment
+ Acquire security and other clearances as required by customer
The compensation range for this position is $34- $48 per hour. The actual compensation offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
YOU MUST HAVE:
+ 2+ years of experience within HVAC or field service industry
+ Technical and mechanical aptitude
+ Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting HVAC and building automation systems
+ Experience identifying and utilizing trade tools and PPE appropriately
+ Ability to work independently and as a team depending on project needs
+ Physical ability to lift up-to 50lbs at times
+ Ability to travel throughout the service area
+ Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell
WE VALUE:
+ Knowledge of system protocols including BACnet, Lon, Modbus, HTML. JAVA
+ Controls experience in a large commercial environment.
+ Honeywell, JCI, Andover, and/or Niagara-Tridium system experience is preferred
+ Experience in an electrical/electronic background
+ Proven track record of providing a high level of customer satisfaction
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
