Purpose of Role

The purpose of this role is to execute and ensure the maintenance, inventory, quality, and logistical work necessary to fulfill orders for the DS operation located at our Buckeye manufacturing facility. This individual will ensure equipment is ready to ship, facilitate inventory, track order progress, and use discretion to improve operational efficiency. Before shipment, this person will inspect equipment to ensure it meets quality standards, configure equipment per customer requirements, and complete needed repairs. Attention to detail and a drive for improving our processes and willingness to learn and execute a wide variety of work are key to success in this role. This role may also require travel to perform work external customer sites as deemed necessary.

Areas of Accountabilities

Shipping and Customer Delivery

+ Perform work on lifts to prepare them for shipment including rework, engineering change requests, touching up paint, applying decals, and unit configuration.

+ Work with manager to ensure all visual controls related to order fulfillment are kept up to date and issues logged.

+ Assist in the accurate collections of all relevant model and order data throughout the process, including, but not limited to, serial #, and PDI.

+ Update order tracking logs after equipment shipments to customers.

Purchasing and Inventory

+ Ensure unit serial numbers on BOL match shipment paperwork and schedule before shipments are released.

+ Follow facility 5S standards to keep an organized and clean storage space.

+ Complete part audits and compare part numbers to spec sheet and shipping documents.

+ Perform inventory counts on a reoccurring basis and report discrepancies to manager.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

+ Leverage advanced understanding of lift equipment to execute a PDI process that ensures good quality arrives at our customer-s site.

+ Capture quality issues and communicate to manager, or update visual controls.

+ Inspect products to ensure and confirm correct assembly and palletized correctly.

+ Communicate and collaborate as needed within the organization to highlight Quality issues, opportunities, & improvements.

Safety

+ Follow all applicable industry standards and regulations to ensure you w ork in a safe manner and help ensure co-workers are doing the same.

+ Participate in safety training and apply what is learned to make the environment and work practice safe.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

+ 2+ years of work experience in a mechanical related field

+ Must have working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic schematics.

+ Strong technical aptitude of mechanical and electrical systems.

+ Must possess excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal).

+ Experience with JDE or another ERP system is a plus.

+ Able to work independently and autonomously in a fast-moving environment.

+ Able to frequently move supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. throughout the facility.

+ Able to bend and work on equipment at ground level.

+ Able to frequently move about inside and outside the facility to access supplies and equipment.

+ Must be able to travel by road or airplane - 10% of the time
