Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a leader to manage its Tactical Fighters RF, Mixed Signal, & Power Assembly Design & Product Support Section. This Section is comprised of multiple front line engineering groups responsible for hardware electrical design and product support across all programs in the Tactical Fighters Business Unit. The successful candidate will provide both engineering functional leadership and technical project execution leadership while overseeing approximately 60 engineers organized into multiple teams; each team led by a Team Lead (front line manager). The Team Leads and senior individual contributors will report directly to the selected Section Lead.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

+ Manager of managers position with 5 manager-led functional groups comprising the Section

+ Oversee the performance management process, compensation planning, talent development, continuous improvement, and program staffing

+ Provide project and technical oversight for design, integration, verification, and production support activities performed by the Section

+ Maintain and ensure application of Engineering processes and guidelines used in the Section

+ Develop proposal inputs and review proposal content for both internal and external Customers

+ Partner with peer Section Leads within Tactical Fighters Engineering to ensure consistent decision making across teams and in support of the business

+ Collaborate with peer Hardware Section Leads across multiple organizations to ensure the overall health of our hardware electrical design capabilities

+ Support group initiatives, recruiting, workload forecasting, staffing, cross-campus/sector involvement, cost center budget planning, and internally funded projects

This position is expected to perform productive (direct charge) work on programs in addition to functional management duties. It is anticipated given the size of this Section, the candidate will spend 50% - 80% of their time on programs in a technical leadership role and 20% - 50% of their time on functional leadership.

The majority of the personnel working within this Section are resident in the BWI facility in Linthicum, MD. This position will report to the Tactical Fighters Engineering Director.

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics or other related technical fields

+ Minimum 10 years of related engineering experience including responsibility as an integrated product team leader, technical leader, and/or functional leader

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Basic understanding of RF and/or Power electronics

+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a high level security clearance

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Engineering Leadership, or equivalent

+ 15 years of experience in a multi-disciplined engineering environment

+ Demonstrated success leading high performance teams as technical, integrated product team, and/or functional leader

+ RF, mixed signal, and/or power product design, fabrication, and integration experience including, but not limited to, products in high reliability military applications

+ Current Secret or Top Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $178,500.00 - $267,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
