**Responsibilities**

**POSITION SUMMARY:**

The Medical Information Management Technician II regularly performs a variety of more complex MIM Tech functions, under the general supervision of the manager.

Processes and manages government denials. Exercises a high degree of independence and initiative and may be assigned to work on special projects and assist less experienced MIM Techs in the performance of MIM responsibilities. .

**Qualifications**

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Medical Information Management required or an equivalent combination of education and experience

+ Associates degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred

+ Understands the organization and operation of a medical records department

+ Understanding of database managment principles required.

+ Proficient with MicroSoft office suite required

+ Meditech experience preferred

+ Demonstrated customer service skills required

+ Medical terminology required

+ Able to read, speak and write English

+ Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions correctly

$27.12 - $32.99 /hour
