As a **Engineering Support Specialist II** here at Honeywell, you are primarily involved supporting project engineering teams, products and processes. In this role expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems is required to process Electrical, Mechanical and Test System drawings. This includes a range of responsibilities and duties essential for maintaining efficiency within design teams and ensuring the smooth operation of CAD tools and software.

You will report directly to our Sr Test Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Mississauga, ON location.

In this role, you be responsible for the management of all the Drafting Tool libraries, supporting engineering during the Test Stand design phase, organizing and managing all drawings, documents and BOMs including the release into Team Center. This position requires collaboration with test system design and development teams to ensure products meet regulatory compliance and customer expectations. A strong foundation in electronic and mechanical principles, along with problem-solving skills to address engineering challenges is required.

**The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP security clearance.**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

**Design and Development** :

+ Create drawings for Test Stands, Rack, Panels, Electrical and Mechanical Fixtures, Electrical Schematics and Board Layouts

+ Prepare and maintain documentation related to engineering processes, including specifications, process flows, and change orders

+ Follow GD&T Best Practices

**System Management** :

+ Monitor and manage the CAD database, ensuring data integrity and security.

+ Assist in the migration of CAD data between systems and ensure that files are organized properly for easy access.

+ Manage all drawings during the design phase and release into Team Center.

+ Maintain the Drafting Tool for Libraries

**Project Coordination** :

+ Coordinate project activities and ensure effective communication among project stakeholders.

+ Participate in project meetings, providing insights, updates, and recommendations to enhance project outcomes.

+ Participate in project meetings and support the delivery of CAD-related deliverables in alignment with project timelines and quality standards.

**Technical Assistance** :

+ Provide specialized support to engineers in various phases of projects, including design, testing, and implementation.

+ Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in engineering systems and processes.

+ Provide user support for CAD software, helping with software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

**Process Improvement** :

+ Analyze existing engineering processes and CAD workflows to identify inefficiencies and suggest practical improvements.

+ Collaborate with engineering teams to implement best practices and standardized processes.

**Compliance and Quality Assurance** :

+ Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies within engineering practices.

+ Support quality assurance efforts by assisting in audits and assessments of engineering processes.

**YOU MUST HAVE**

+ A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field

+ Minimum 3 years of experience with CAD Systems such as CREO, SolidWorks, ORCAD, AutoCAD (Electrical and Mechanical or similar).
