Phoenix, AZ company is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to join their team for a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Leverage the latest technology to solve business problems in a collaborative environment at this Fortune 500 transportation giant. Top technical resources are retained on long-term contract engagements.

Responsible for leveraging cutting edge technology to solve business problems by participating in all phases of the development process from inception through transition, advocating the agile process and test-driven development, using object-oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct and test reusable objects, and making the codebase better.

**Required Skills & Experience**

+ Strong Cisco/Aruba/Meraki switches/routing networking experience (some designing) and must be prepared to answer some very complex networking questions during the interview. Looking for Engineers, not Admin level individuals.

+ 6+ years of enterprise data network/IT industry experience with a minimum of 4 working with data network technologies at an enterprise scale.

+ B.S. Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

+ Experience working with network tools such as CA Spectrum and Wireshark.

+ Expert knowledge on Cisco routers, Cisco L2/L3 switches, load balancing, QOS, VPN, NAT, VoIP, IPSec, Multicast, DNS services, MPLS networks, network protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, SNMP, VLAN Trunking), and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).

+ Strong knowledge of Spanning-tree protocols (PVST,MSTP,RSTP)

+ Experience working with Velocloud/Viptela SDWAN/Aruba/Meraki/Nexus/Palo Alto

+ Basic understanding of public cloud and Azure cloud networking

+ Firewall troubleshooting skill

**What You Will Be Doing**

+ Write/engineer network device configuration scripts with associated change documentation to meet project goals and deadlines.

+ Implement network changes during appropriate change windows (after hours)

+ Review and provide feedback on change documentation/engineering of other engineers.

+ Establish processes to test applications and devices before planned network deployment to quantify their performance and recommend steps to ensure they are optimized.

+ Serve as second-tier support for network operations team when needed.

+ Participate in on-call support escalation rotation.

+ Translate business needs into actionable deliverables.

+ Manage small/medium internal data network projects.

+ Create detailed network designs that meet the customer requirements (including physical and logical) of complex network systems to meet the functional objectives of the business.

In this exciting, hands-on role, the Senior Process Engineer will have the responsibility for developing and sustaining laser bond manufacturing processes.

**Responsibilities Include:**

+ Drive projects to successful completion using Project Management skills.

+ Utilize technical skills associated with Six Sigma, Lean, DRM/DFSS and other appropriate improvement techniques to drive continuous improvement.

+ Follow established procedures to perform detailed, accurate, and compliant engineering documentation for Master Validation Plans, pFMEA, Equipment Installation, Characterization, Qualification and Validation activities.

+ Perform duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies, or governmental regulations.

+ Identify and work to remove barriers that slow or prevent the successful completion of projects.

+ Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and hands on development of those techniques including the measurement systems.

The Test Environments, Manufacturing Engineer /Fabrication Shop Lead will be the main POC for incoming program fabrication work in our satellite shops. This lead role will directly support satellite shops by reviewing incoming jobs and working with the customer to clarify and validate job requirements. This role is responsible for raw material planning, creating manufacturing travelers, identify needed tooling and fixtures, resource planning, coordinating with other shop locations, and setting the overall shop priorities and schedule.

+ Analyzes and modifies product designs in collaboration with Design Engineering to assure manufacturability. Work with underdeveloped drawing packages, basic sketches, released drawing packages, as well as CAD solid models

+ Responsible for all aspects of fabrication including, safe equipment operation, part inspection, managing the machinist’s workload, supporting customers’ schedules, delegating, and coordinating workflow as required

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
