    **Required Skills & Experience**

    The Test Environments, Manufacturing Engineer /Fabrication Shop Lead will be the main POC for incoming program fabrication work in our satellite shops.     The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.     The Platform Reliability Engineer will report to the Program Digital Services organization, supporting the design, maintenance, and implementation of Kubernetes-based orchestration and container management platforms. This role focuses on optimizing platform performance, resolving technical issues, and introducing enhancements to meet Raytheon’s program needs.

    What You Will Do:

    + Collaborate with programs, engineers, and Digital Technology peers to understand requirements and solve challenges.

    + Partner with infrastructure, networking, and application development teams to forecast capacity and demand.

    + Provide advanced support for Kubernetes clusters, ensuring availability, scalability, and reliability.

    + Configure and maintain infrastructure across VMware, AWS GovCloud, Azure for Government, bare metal, and restricted networks.

    + Implement monitoring tools and dashboards with best practices for error detection, defect elimination, and system optimization.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    + Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

    + Experience in deploying, monitoring, and supporting Kubernetes clusters in cloud and on-premises environments.

    + Experience with Kubernetes platforms either Rancher RKE2, OpenShift, and VMware Tanzu.

    + The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    + Experience deploying cloud-native platforms in classified and unclassified environments.

    + Experience with design and operate secure, high-performing Kubernetes systems.

    + Experience with VMware, AWS GovCloud, and Azure for Government.

    + Experience with tools like Terraform, Helm, Python, Go, and Bash.

    + Experience in observability and monitoring solutions such as Grafana, Prometheus, Alert Manager, and Loki.

    + Experience in troubleshooting skills with distributed systems and CNCF tools.

    + Agile team experience and a collaborative mindset.
