Primary Responsibilities:

+ Testing a variety of electronic units using prescribed test procedures:

+ Setting up and operating various test stands

+ Configuring test equipment for special tests as needed

+ Interpreting and recording test results

+ Recognizing and isolating test equipment failures

+ Using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electronic units to the sub-assembly and component level

Physical Demands:

**Position Description:**

Assembly operations of gun systems in a team or individual environment.

**Typical Duties but not limited to the following:**

+ Perform manufacturing assembly of subassemblies and top level assemblies for gun systems.

+ Conduct teardown, evaluate and reassembly of remanufactured products.

**Accountabilities:**

+ They will provide remote and on-site technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems located within hospitals and other healthcare facilities within the region and in accordance with our customer support agreements

+ Respond to, evaluate, and prioritize work orders; diagnose, service, and resolve issues regarding proprietary hardware and software system components, retain ownership of the work order, increase issues to the team lead and manager; log, track, and document all work order activity, and be capable of fully supporting all products within the region

+ Implement a preventive maintenance program, provide limited cross-functional support for our Sales and Implementation teams, and other support activities as applicable to the role

+ Demonstrate a sufficient use of competency and a superior ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems

+ Provide efficient field services to all BD customers in a timely manner, including but not limited to installations, in-servicing, repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, and sales support

+ Maintain proper and accurate small parts inventory for the purpose of service and follow approved policies and procedures for inventory controls

+ Provide accurate and timely documentation that details field activity, expenses, time distribution and other information as required

+ Continue training and self-development to learn the products and applications of the company for success in the role, advance skills, and attend management approved seminars and training sessions to advance to the next level in 3-5 years

+ Ability to lift 30 to 40 lb. objects from the floor to chest level

+ Ability to turn manual sockets, crescent wrenches, and screw drivers repeatedly over the course of an 8-to-10-hour day

+ Ability to sit, kneel, squat, bend, and stand repeatedly in a 8–10-hour period to assemble and repair instrument suites

+ Ability to push and pull objects weighing up to 70 lbs

**Job Summary**

SHI has an exciting opportunity as a Field Service Technician - Wakefern. This position requires daily travel to various customer sites and work in an on-call environment. The Field Service Technician - Wakefern can expect repair tickets to be assigned daily and complete the assigned work within the SLA (Service Level Agreement). Required Experience and Education

Job Purpose

The Field Service Technicians are the frontline service leaders to all A-Gas Rapid Recovery customers in a geographic territory. This individual is responsible for job site service, preventative maintenance of equipment, refrigerant cylinder consolidation, and customer interaction. Projects range in size from single residential split systems to chilling systems operating on tens of thousands of pounds, to projects with thousands of units.

Key Responsibilities

+ Travel to assigned work sites daily to provide reclamation and recovery services of refrigerant and other specialty gas as required

+ Provide exceptional service and customer support to all customers

+ Find additional opportunities for service, gas buy-back, and refrigerant spot buy sales that help to meet or exceed territory targets

+ Submit daily work orders and weekly expense reporting timely

+ Provide proper c are for your assigned vehicle by keeping it clean, in presentable condition, and maintained according to the vehicle manual

+ Work in a safe manner, holding self and others accountable for safety standards

+ Other duties as assigned

Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications

+ A high school diploma or GED required

+ 1-3 years related industry or mechanical experience preferred

+ Must hold state-issued driver's license, be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record

+ Must have the ability to work flexible hours, overtime may be required

+ C DL Class C with HazMat Endorsement preferred , or ability to obtain certifications within 90 days of employment

+ EPA Universal Certification preferred or the ability to obtain certification within 14 days of employment

+ Must possess the technical knowledge to perform the job and follow all safety procedures

+ Computer skills required with the a bility to type and utilize current technology

+ Strong written and verbal communication skill s, with the a bility to interact professionally with internal and external customers
