    Full Time

  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA)
    Accident Doctors    Mesa, AZ 85210
     Posted about 16 hours

We are hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) to work with an Internal Medicine doctor. The doctor sees patients in a medical clinic that focuses exclusively on injuries related to car accidents and worker’s comp. The expected work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30am – 6pm, and occasionally as late as 7pm depending on the number of new patients. You will work closely with the doctor to learn and understand the differences in the practice of Personal Injury and Workers Comp which is substantially different from the practice of health insurance.

You will see patients along with the doctor to provide training needed to follow the Best Practices protocol. You and the team of medical providers will implement and modify the Best Practices protocol to ensure consistent patient care so that the transition of care is seamless when patients have to switch between providers during the duration of care which is typically for 2-3 months. If you have good new ideas, we welcome the discussion to modify the Best Practices protocol.

One to three medical scribes are assigned to each provider to ensure prompt completion of documentation. Ideally the Progress Note is signed by the time the patient walks out the exam room and always before the end of the workday.

Medical scribes will be in charge of interviewing the patient independently and transcribing for the Subjective portion of the Progress Note. The Provider is then brought into the room for the Physical exam portion. The Provider reviews the Subjective portion and asks any clarifying questions. As the Provider performs the physical exam and speaks out loud the findings, the Scribe will transcribe the findings. The Provider will discuss with the patient about decision making and the Scribe will record relevant parts of the Decisions onto the Care Plan. The Provider will review and complete the Care Plan while the Scribe leaves the room to implement the Care Plan.

This is a small but a growing business at three locations. This is an excellent learning opportunity to get into the personal injury and work comps industries.
To be considered for this position, you must be a certified Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)

To help us understand if you are the right fit, please send your resume (in MS Word or PDF format) to Kim @ AccidentDoctorsAZ.com and in the body of your email, please answer these questions:
    1. Do you speak Spanish? If so, what is your fluency level?
    2. What is your minimum salary/hourly requirement?
    3. Are you currently employed? If so, why do you want to leave your current position?
    4. How many words per minute can you type?
    5. What EHR system have you used?
6.What three adjectives describe your personality?
